Actually AB and Lowry are both good, one is PG, one is SG. The problem is on COACH, how to use them with other players. It is just clear AB doesn't fit Yao in the game. If you want to start AB, pls bench Yao. I do not mind if it could win.
We were doing it very good with Alston on his last games... I already thought that with Rafer we would be very well from now ahead.
Fact of the matter is, you take Aaron away from us tonight, we don't win. Aaron wasn't the only one that couldn't guard Nash. Lowry struggled against him, Battier struggled against him, and Scola left his man wide open pretty much every time down the court. There is no way Alston goes point-for-point with Nash. Artest was off for most of the night, and Yao struggled in the second half. Aaron was our offense in the second half.
Yes, that's Rafer's fault... you know. Aaron's lot of crappy games have nothing to do with it, for example. He has been terrific all season.
Brooks is just Nash without assist. Even Nash never got close to championship. It looks like another first round exit to me.
Neither. When we lost, it was injuries, lack of chemistry, etc. But we were playing better already before the trade, and personally I could appreciate the good work done by Rafer. He was playing more serious than ever, and then the trade. If at least we put Lowry as starter...
It is actually likely quite hard to tell statistically whether we are a better team with AB or Airballston. I say marginally better with AB, but we may differ. In the long run, I think we will be better with AB since Airballston isn't getting any better; probably just getting older.
Leave it to clutchfans to down on AB when we just won a game.... You could argue Tony Parker is a "SG"...how many rings does he have again? I don't get why people DON'T want a scoring PG...but were content with Rafer. It boggles the mind.
It depends on how your team is setup. If you're a PG playing beside a playmaker Wing player than it will be hard to lead the team in assist most of the games. Basically depends on how your offense is.
I don't think anyone has ever argued that Tony Parker is a SG. And Aaron Brooks will only be a SG if we go against a team like Phoenix when they play Nash and Barbosa in the backcourt at the same time. Brooks future here is either a Starting PG or a Backup PG not shooting Guard. I don't get why some people in this thread has said he's a SG just because he's a scoring PG.
I agree, I'm not buying this bull**** that Brooks can't play the point. I think Brooks might end up surprising people in the playoffs.
My point is AB is a PG...the Tony Parker comparison stems for TP looking for his shot first and is a prime example of a scoring PG. Just because a guard can score and looks to score, doesn't make him a SG.
