Landry has matured into a smart and efficient offensive threat. Watching him play against the Lakers, he was very good.

Landry almost always beats his defender one on one.

Landry and Scola are the most talented PF duo in the league. Just watch their footwork in every move they make. And both have a decent midrange shot as well. How many PFs in the league can do those??

Yet most lay NBA fans don't appreciate Landry/Scola's play style, because talent just doesn't impress as much as raw physicality. They'd much rather watch the likes of Denver's Martin or Lamar Odom muscle their way for every rebound/layup dunk. It's the same reasoning behind everybody's love for D. Howard over Yao.

But with all that said, my pick for the PF to start for the West All-Stars this year... would undoubtedly have to be Zach Randolph.

He is a nice player and does well when things develop in the flow of the game. However, in the last two games (New Orleans and LA) when we make him the go to guy, he has failed miserably. We lost the New Orleans game because he could not handle that role and I don't think he will ever be able to be the go to guy. He is an excellent player but not the go to guy for our team.

i think landry is an excellent closer in late game situations, if u watched the games prior to the NOH and LAL u would see than Landry was clearly our late game finisher and did quite well. If im not mistaken he was avg. right at 7 points in the 4th quarter.

Carl tends to struggle with NOH for some reason okafor comes to mind he does that to alot of players though  . and lets face it the LAL our the best team in basketball and verybody has a hard time with them and carl actually played very well.

I think the rockets should think long and hard about aquiring a big time defensive minded/rebounding center and a playmaking star level SG and building around carl/SG? inside out with those two players. i think carls abilty to improve each yr is a sigh that he will become a elite pf.

    what do u guys think?
