    1-star thread.

Dwight is the best defender we have.
Dwight is STILL the best defensive anchor in the Association.

Dwight is not the problem here guy. Gotta watch the games. Our rim defense is terrible because our opponents simply flood the low blocks without repercussion. We are the worst defensive rebounding team in the Association and it is literally everybody elses fault other than Dwight. He can't stop 4 guys by himself.

    1-star thread op.

If Howard had the heart of someone like Alonzo Mourning on the court night in and night out it would be total domination in the paint. Unfortunately not the case on a consistent basis whether it's emotional, physical, mental or all 3 on any given night that's lacking

Hollic, I don't think the OP was saying it is ALL Dwight's fault. Just that he is culpable as well. And that's a fair statement. I am watch the games. His lateral quickness has regressed.

His lateral quickness and athleticism is only going to get worse. If Morey resigns him this summer to a overpriced, long term contract that will be the final nail in his GM coffin. Harden would be more effective with a center that can and is willing to set real a pick and rolls hard to the basket or is able to pop giving him more of a lane to the basket. Like Dwight as a person but he just isn't the right fit.

When did it become such a good idea to have our rim protectors defend on the perimeter? I have not understood that.

It's like having the Air Force roll out submarines....

He's the best defensive anchor in the Association. Culpable? Anybody we replace him with makes our defense even worse.

    Can our defense get worse?

Doesn't seem like we are getting a great return on our $23M investment in our world class rim protector if our defense is one of the worst in the league.

It's like Dwight's mind can only process 1 thing at a time. I would be terrified if he was driving me somewhere.

You can blame individual defense all you want but the team defense sucks. We rotate to make up for how bad Harden is and if Dwight goes out then his man gets left open or someone rotates and until we got Dmo back we were very undersized there. Regardless everyone knows the rockets defense and torches us because they can get the easy matchups.

Watch the last 2 minutes over again and watch the Timberwolves carve up James Harden. Dwight isnt the person to get in Harden's face about his terrible defense, hence why we need Perkins or Rondo... just an AHole. No one has that on our team. Coach certainly doesn't either.

Sorry, all I watched was Dwight getting schooled by a rookie center on TWolves.

    What do you mean?

Like how DMo draws out opposing bigs to guard him on the perimeter?

KAT is simply a better player than Howard at this point, doesn't have the experience yet but he has a great all around game.

Lol Levine hitting 30 foot threes isn't an indication of bad defense by James . It's a poor shooter getting lucky

I'm talking about the switching. I don't understand why our bigs switch on guards.

Because they're stupid and also not quick enough to stay with their man.

James Harden gave up 111 pts tonight. All by himself, he did this.
