I think the Texans have said they will move Peek back to OLB so I don't think you'll see him opposite of Mario. I think this will be the rotation: LE: Mario/Babin LT: Smith/Payne RT: TJ/Deloach RE: Weaver/Kalu And if you really want to rush the QB, having Peek and Mario coming from both sides would be pretty sweet.
I agree they said that before the draft, but I think they changed their mind when Bufalo outbid them for the 26 pick. When they where unable to get Deangelo for RB, they went to plan b and got Ryans. Since the draft, the Texans have stated they will be keeping Peek at DE.
I think Demeco will be awesome. I definitely want him over a RB, unless its Reggie Bush we're talking about
I know this thread is talking more about the D-Line, but did y'all hear what John McClian said about Spencer on 610 this afternoon? He said that through the second half of the college season, the Texans rated him as the best tackle outside of D'Brick. Also said Winston was rated by many as a late 1st-rounder. I think our O-line is shaping up VERY nicely as well.
http://www.houstontexans.com/news/transactions.php?section=N Transactions throw Ephraim Salaam into the mix at OT, although i think his best days are behind him
I dont know if it would've been better but it would've taken some of the sting out of passing on Bush.
I would have been happy with Williams at RB, but not at the expense of extra picks. Now this sets the stage for us drafting Adrian Peterson in next years first round! This guy will be an absolute stud, no question about it.
We'll see. I might have the DE's reversed, but I think Peek will start opposite Mario and Williams will move inside for most of the snaps.

I think Alfred Malone should see some time in the defensive line rotation. He did a nice job late in the year, and he was UDFA from Troy (played with Demarcus Ware) activated from the practice squad. http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/553395
Is that the acutal strings and all. Because it seems stupid to have gotten Winston if he would be playing behind two people and for that matter, not even starting. I have the same question about what happens at DE, cant Peek or Babin play on the left side - so it would be stronger? Both guys are supposed to play for position behind Mario. That secondary is flat out trash. We should try to pull off a trade or somethin to get another CB or S. I dont understand why the staff has so much confidence in it. Last year they played like **** and had only a couple turnovers. TOok a long ass time to get those turnovers too.
I think they also should've drafted another DB in the draft, but I guess the values of Winston and Spencer were too high to pass up on them with both third round picks. I'm leaning towards with new 4-3 defense, better D-line, which could result in more pressure towards the quaterback which could significantly help our secondary versus giving Peyton Manning 5 minutes to throw the football. As for now, I like Earl and Dunta not sure about the rest..
You must keep hope alive. I guess alot of that will depend on how the draft shapes uo next season. DW was the second best back in the draft and he went in the 20s. I know Brown and Cadillac went high last year but that draft (04) wasn't the strongest draft we've seen.
