Ha ha, I'm all the way down. Bring it on, someone who actually has the means and the motivation (and time) to do this please do it. Let's get a leader and it looks like enough of us will follow. I get pretty damn stressed out watching the game sometimes. Let's do this :)

Can someone host a 'FreeYaoMing" website of some kind so that we can write down all of the complaints after each game in one site, and then we can link those to everyone we know or associated with the NBA to get people talking? I think this would help somewhat or at least it would help spread the words.

Yao's first two fouls last night were classic examples.

Fans in the Toyota Center should chant, "Free Yao Ming!" whenever the refs pull this crap. Maybe it'll have some effect on the refs better than routine booing and cursing. The Association needs to take notice.

Yao, for his part, should just forget about ever drawing a charge in the NBA.

    That would be money.

If someoen had a sin at the game you may get on tv but only people on this board would know what you are talking about.

What I would like to see is the Rockets put together a tape of the questionable fouls called on Yao - the ones where he's just standing there with his hands up - then have Yao and JVG ask for a meeting with Ronnie Nunn, the head of the NBA officials. All three should watch the tape, and then Yao and JVG should ask "What can Yao do to avoid these fouls?" Don't get angry or argue the fouls - just accept them and ask what Yao needs to do to avoid them in the future. I'm sure that Nunn will come up with some weak answer, but he'll get the point. You need to make your point on this without crying or making accusations, because that only earns you less slack with the refs. Just ask for a simple explanation.

I think that Yao could be stronger in the paint, but that is not his game. He was raised in an International system, one that does not always demand the "tallest guy" to be the post player. He is a skilled athlete and one that to me receives compliments and complaints about equally. This BBS tends to over-react at times, but remember, Yao will continue to develop and as he matures we will have to adjust to what his real game is!

RELAX FOLKS, A still photo and officials that are not used to a presence like Yao is not something to whine about.

Finally, the original racial discussion earlier in the thread is BS at best. Yao is not SHAQ (and that pea-brain comment earlier in the post was uncalled for). People hate on those that they cannot control, conquer or understand.

Get your FREE YAO Gear now! Don't like them? Leave some feedback, i can do other designs. Also, anybody interested in luther head shirts? for example, they'll have funny slogans members came up with like, "WE LOVE HEAD" or "ROCKETS GET HEAD" ect. Or how about a Deke cookie monster shirt? LOL, the ideas are endless, lets go crazy with this. Anyways here's the link to the shop for the FREE YAO gear:

    Isn't this about the officiating?

You are wrong and I am correcting you. First of all, African American players don't want anyone to suceed if they are on the opposing team, Asian, Turkish, other African Americans or whomever. Secondly, you wording is a little suspect given reference to your liberal set-up. Referencing "ebonics", calling Shaq "Pea Brained" and alluding that black players are poor free throw shooters speaks more to your problem with race in the NBA than the players themselves.

Grow up and get a grasp on the main focus here, the officiating, which happens to be one that warrants concern.

I submitted a cafepress design earlier with that LaFrentz mugging picture and it was taken off due to possible copyright infringement.

Then, we need a caricature artist... it's even better cuz we don't have a hi-res picture on that one..

By far, this is my favorite :)

Yeah, i don't think we can put up a picture of Yao due to copyright laws. But maybe we can get somebody to trace that pic of yao and the celtics and use it as the logo like the "air jordan" logo.

Does this law apply even though we're not printing it for profit?

Well, the thing is, it is for profit. Cafepress.com are the ones that print out the shirts and ship them out to people that buy the shirts. They are basically doing all the work except i just add a logo. So i doubt they would do all that for non-profit.

What I mean is we can print it ourselves.. Let's come up with a standard logo or design then let's check how many are internested and we're set...

    it's a lot cheaper..
