To get Stern/NBA to react, get this story into the media/news in China, where Stern/NBA are looking to grow their business/league. $$$ talk.
Hey I just notice one thing. During all our talks about Yao's officating issue in some many threads, Clutch crew hasn't said a word. The Rockets organization, or Houston Chronicle did not mention it either. Do they know anything we don't? Is it a done deal of screwing Yao and only letting him be a 20/10 player? Maybe we need to accept this as a fact: Yao's career is PLANNED. It's only up to TMAC to play like MJ to win a championship, never Yao. I know this imagination is crazy. Just can't help speaking it out. After all, it's business, you never know.
Sure. Yao got $76M deal. His stat looks not bad now. He's an all star. Good enough. That's all I should care, isn't it? My fault for being concerned about Rocket's championship dream. I apologize.
That looks good. I'd suggest big red letters and maybe cropping th image a little (remove some from the top) and then making it bigger. Since it's a t-shirt, I don't think the resolution would matter that much. Anyone with some photoshop skills (which I lack) can probably do this in 5 minutes. May sell it at cafepress.com (free!! i think)
I would buy one of those T-shirts. Market it so that atleast 50% of people at TC wear it. Make it a big story and Stern will be forced to take action.
Maybe we should do a 15 to 20 mins videos on all the yao-hacking non-calls and bad calls on yao and spread it on the Internet. If such video is made I will definitely forward it to all of my friends who watch NBA. I know a lot of us have ALL of the rockets games, and with all the non-calls and bad calls on yao for the past 3 yrs 15 mins is no problem. Having T-shirts made is great too but we need solid viewable evident for general NBA fans to be on our side; otherwise we'll just be called homers.
Nah they are. Didn't mean that at all. Just try to find out if there's any 'insight' information. Anyway, better change my topic before it turns ugly. Saw tons of labels flying over already. So, anything we can do through the internet? Or if some of you start a donation to get budget for the campaign? I'm surely in.
Get on www.nba.com, sign up for an account. Find the deeply buried email link to the nba and write David Stern. Do it as often as you can until this bs stops. We could also have a public burning of some nba merchandise - that would definitely get Stern's attention. Anyone got a Raef bobblehead?
I think this is only the second time I have ever posted a comment on this site....although I read posts everyday.........but, I just had to comment on the "Free Yao" thread.........I am a huge Rockets fan and never miss watching a game...thanks to NBA League Pass. I, too, am totally sick of the unfair treatment Yao gets from officials.....I just emailed NBA(for all the good it will do).......and I would love to purchase a t-shirt whenever they are available.....someone please let me know where to send money, etc. Will they be available in kid's sizes, too?
The officiating is confusing. Because of how he is officiated they have developed a whole subset of actions Yao should/should not take to avoid fouling in certain situations. The main one of which is to just stand there with your hands straight in the air. Unfortunately, he is often called for a foul on this, too. What's worse, there should be no rule stating that he can't move forward with his arms in the air if the player he is guarding is fading away. If you can't do that, why even play defense? With all the pushing and shoving that goes on down there, the fouls they do/don't call always seem questionable to me. As an aside, the charge arc is idiotic. It needs to go. The rule should just be you can't slide into a charge position under a player that is at least [x] steps into his move, or something like that. Why it is a charge somewhere but not somewhere else is stupid.
JVG should just let YAO play, 2 foul, 3 4, doesn't matter. bench him until he gets 5th foul and put him back to court play last 5 min
