    The Yao-centric fans have wisened up and gone underground. When they criticise Brooks, Adelman, Artest, and Scola who was a favorite whipping boy earlier in the season. It's really their way of defending Yao.

    the ratio was actually bigger than 24:12, some of calls to porkland (12) were made up calls later when even dumpa*s as NBA refs realized it's a ridiculous ratio.

    Everybody whines. The only difference is who you whine about. I can see that tinman doesn't like people whining about his boy Artest. I didn't see him making threads telling people to respect our players when T-Mac got skinned.

    artest and aaron brooks haven't been here as long as T-mac and he they don't get paid $20 million dollars. that's like 20 aaron brooks.

    I know Artest's faults and weaknesses and I accept it. the problem for the t-mac fans is they think he has no weaknesses and they love using the word 'if' and throwing other players under the bus for his failures.

    its a bunch of "if" or "but" or "when he was in orlando" bs that makes every Rocket fan sick. If I was arguing with a Laker fan and a tmac fan says tmac is better than Kobe, I'd throw him in the ocean.

    you kidding?

    when T-mac finally took himself out, the Rockets became a team and played some great basketball. nobody was hating on that.

    t-mac fans were waiting for loses so they drop the 'tmac is a closer' bs.

    if t-mac is a closer then ray charles is an optometrist.

    This post just illustrates what I am saying. It's not about whining. It's about who you whine about. So don't blame people for whining.

    BTW, tinman, what do you say to people who think you see no faults in guys like Vernon Maxwell and Sam Cassell and defend them no matter what? Man, I don't have any problems with your player preferences. I respect your loyalty and zeal for the Rockets. I even enjoy your straightening out some ignorant young folks of Rockets history. But, no offense, I think you are one of the bigger hypocrites here when it comes to what should and should not be done on this board.

    most of the attacks on the old school are personal attacks on their non basketball lives.

    My defense is very specific, for Cassell, when he was with Boston, he said some Cassell like statement that "it was sweet to win a title with Boston" and someone thought Cassell was betraying Houston.

    And you know what most people say about Maxwell and its not about his game 7 performance vs the Knicks.

    Also you're right, its about who you talk about or whine about.

    Are you going to whine about your young PG with makes less than $1 million dollars if he doesn't perform like an allstar each night?

    I don't make threads about some hypothetical situation or impossible situation like Rockets getting Phil Jackson or JVG gets rehired etc ?

    Did I ever say Artest is better than Kobe? I know he's not and I know Tmac isn't either.

    Was Maxwell better than Jordan? No. Did he play good D on Jordan? yes, witnessed it and it has been documented.

    Is Tmac a closer? no. Is Steve Novak better than Robert Horry? no.

    Do I make posts after winning 1 game that we're going to beat the Lakers or make posts that we are going to lose the series after 1 loss? no.

    so what makes me a hypocrite? that I criticize Tracy McGrady for not living up to his $20 million adidas scoring champion look at all the points he scored in losing playoff games hype?

    Why should I criticize Yao Ming, who was an ORIGINAL ROCKET (drafted by Rudy T) and developed each year to be a better player and has not done anything to embarrass the Rockets and Rocket fans (Stephen A Smith, saying he never had a Tim Duncan blah blah)? Do I criticize him if he has a crap game? yes

    So does Ron Artest take bad shots? yes. Is Aaron Brooks better than Chis Paul? no.

    am I more proud of these guys than Tmac? a 20 million dollar yes.

    I just posted this in another thread that has a bunch of whiners, complainers and worriers. --------

    The only thing that anyone here or in Portland needs to know is this:

    - We want a Game 6 at the Toyota Center with the chance to close out.

    - Portland desperately wanted to avoid this scenario, being down, facing elimination, in our house.

    - Quit your b****ing and take yourself to the beginning of this series. Did you really think we'd walk through this series.

    If someone said that the Rockets would be us 3-2 heading into Game 6 in our place, is there any Clutch Fan that would have said no.

    Cmon b****es. Man up. Get to the game, let it flow. We gotta will the team to victory. This is not the time to worry about defeat. It's winning time. Go and watch the playoff intro video a couple of hundred times. Man up.


    Rockets win by 8.
