There was one year when I watched a lot of the NJ nets games. It was a Devin Harris year, so one of 2008-2011. There was no fav player to watch, other than picking a non rocket team to follow that year. I think they had one of the worst franchise records. That team was really bad. Whenever they played other teams, the Net's promos were like come see this superstar from opponent's team, as they come to town to play. Their own team was not a draw. Now Nets finally in contention, their fan base has something to hope for. So I ain't mad. Been a long road for them. The NJ fans that hung around to see the BK Nets might win one is bittersweet. ---- Before that another year was Celtics. Watched most of their games. Think it was Rondo's rookie or sophomore year. Pierce was still good but couldn't carry them guys. They lost lot of games. Like a lot. Sure Celtics got banners, but few of the years before the big 3, was brutal. Lot suckage endured. --- If Cluch want merch ideas, he can sell laminated CF rockets fan card. If you have one then you're certified real fan.
Lets be honest with ourselves. The fake fans are those that are all of a sudden ecstatic to have a mediocre team with no draft picks and an owner who is clearly unwilling to pay the price of admission to compete
