Agreed. What players/teams do you have in mind DaDa? I have caught enough HEAT for my interpretations.

Your kidding right? With the economy the way and is not to mention his injury history, he'll be lucky to get 10 mill per year. I see him getting a 45 mill deal for 4 or 5 years, from a desperate team like the Knicks or Grizz. But I'm picking the Knicks to try to sign him.

I'll go over some numbers since he became a Rocket and this season and playoffs don't count.

    22.38 ppg
    5.58 assist
    1.3 steals
    0.6 blocks
    41.48% FG
    32.72% 3FG

Thats better then anybody on this board over the past 5 seasons atleast.

So what is market value currently sitting at?

    That is 14-16 range.
So 15 is my best bet ATM.
If he can up that production to 23 and 6 dimes then i would give him 16 at the very least.

Then consider how many games he has missed and it should be at 15 at the most i said 16 at the very least i meant at the most.

No sane GM with mcgrady's checkerd history(injuries) would forkout more then 6 to 9 mill a year. especially in this economy.

Man why is everyone hating on Tmac so much? He is still our best player and he is the only guy that make this team look good. T-Slack or whatever, all this hating needs to stop. If a player is still in a Rockets uniform, hating is unnecessary. Tmac is going nowhere. I still think he's worth a lot and plus, I really hope Morey will resign this guy because when he is healthy, he will lead this team.

Just because Tmac had one bad year, most of ya think he sucks and he is worthless. This is getting out of hand. So what if he had one terrible season. Just because he was dealing with some issues with his knees does not mean that he is worthless. Sure he quit on the team, but that is because he is so frustrated with his knees. He lost confidence in himself because he couldn't do the things he usually do. His knees was really holding him back.

I think everyone need to stop hating on Tmac. Before the season when he had micro-surgery, he was our man. He was our go to guy. He was the guy that made us look good. He was the guy that lead us to that 22 win streak. Honestly, I know everyone is going to say that it wasn't him and that it was our team overall that lead us to that 22 win streak. But think about it...if Tmac and Yao would of switch place during that streak, would the Rockets hit the 22 mark? No the Rockets wouldn't even been close. I am getting tired of the hate. Tmac is the best player on this team, so I think he deserve a bit more love. No one here really know whats going on with Tmac. Everyone here gets their info from the media which we all know the media is inaccurate.

So I think we all need to stop with all this hate because Tmac is still our best player, better than Yao, and we need to support him. Morey is not going to trade him just because we will never get a guy like him again.

    Talk about contradictory.

Why the hell would the Knicks or the Grizz sign him?

They want young and talented players, not old and broken down veterans.

The teams that might sign him are teams with veterans on their last legs trying to go for another championship. Whether that is the Houston Rockets is debatable.

It seems like you're more into humiliating his life and career than finding a win-win solution for both parties.

since the team still wants to go with yao, if they can't find anyone better, they will resign mcgrady if he plays well this year.

Even if he has a big year this year, I hope we dont sign him for more than 6 or 7 mill. And I think he will want more than that. He will be on the wrong side of 30 with a plethora of injuries on his resume. No thanks.

IMO, T-Mac is back next year. He always has spoken his mind openly everywhere he has been and he repeatedly has stated he loves Houston and wants to stay here. His motivation right now seems to be silencing his critics and getting a new contract.

What might not keep him in Houston is whether someone else will offer him a bigger contract, not necessarily his play. That is, of course, if he manages to stay healthy and produces once he gets back on the court. One more injury and he is stuck with a crap contract from a desperate team.

I know Tracy's fans loves stats so here's some to chew on:

    26.78 PPG
    6.92 assist
    1.94 steals
    0.12 blocks
    43.76% FG
    31.48% 3FG

These are Allen Iverson's numbers from the last 5 yrs. He just inked a one year deal with the Memphis Grizzlies for $3,099,729 after garnering no interest from "contenders" or teams that are trying to "win now" which are the type of teams that you guys think would overpay for Tracy.

I believe the only other "strong" suitor for AI during the summer was the Bobcats.

    Just a side note:
    AI's average games per season=70.2
    Tracy's average games per season=59.4

Basically I'm trying to see what you guys argument is for Tracy being one of the "Bells of the Ball" next summer.

You left out the most important number.

    59.4 games played per season.

Games played is far more important than other stats.
