Word of advice, I don't think doubling down on the nazi euphemisms is a good idea.

Trust me, at this rate, you'll be in the D&D graveyard long before ATW.

Rather than respond to the rest of your post this really is the crux of your argument that you will define things as you choose rather than accept standard definitions. You are free to do that but then it is impossible to debate or discuss this or any topic with you if you just decide that you can make up your definition of terms.

If you think Webster's is the gospel on this subject, then there is indeed nothing that can be done to reconcile the difference between us.

I'm telling you, this has been an issue in the atheist community for a LONG time.

Saying atheism is a doctrine or a belief (in/of absence) is like saying bald is a haircolor. It just doesn't work on any level, no matter what Webster's might say.

For a more comprehensive definition of atheism, you'll do better using wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atheism (even though the "popular/incorrect usage" is represented there as well)

It was in response to someone saying there are no Muslims on the board. My point was, from the top of my head, that not only there are many, but the vast majority is very reasonable and respectable. You, by the way, are somewhere between list 1 and list 2 ;).

no its pretty creepy how important it is to you and how you look out for one thing on this forum when you post.

I don't see a poster and think muslim/ non muslim? when i read a thread. But I'm sure with the long list of names you do.

There's nothing wrong with that. It's exactly what advertising companies do when they look at you, Beaner. Who you are, where you come from, what your habits are like and how they dictate your spending habits. Similarly, on a debate and discussion forum, there's nothing wrong with looking at poster's viewpoints based on their religion or background factors. No one has a spreadsheet out with your name on it; these are just the musings of any high IQ poster who actively participates in debates on this forum.

I would add Grizzled to the bottom list of questionables. Mathloom tries to come off as reasonable but when pressed, the cracks begin to show.

So I'm not on the list! woot :p

Seriously Jackie, I know you aren't a hateful person. I just think you get caught up in the issue due to the anonymity of a bbs and internet in general. This also includes using forum tactics that come with the game. I think adeel is the same. Both of you say ridiculous things for one reason only.....BECAUSE YOU CAN. It's the interwebs, who's gonna stop you?

But when I saw the list, I seriously did a double-take. I think it went just a tad over the line. I would much rather have you post your "articles" on the subject of Islam.

that was actually one of Ronny's best posts in a while. Cause he's right. Participate in enough threads, and you get to know a username's personality, and it doesn't take categorizing by lists to do so. If you asked me to name some of the BBS' comedic posters, I could provide you a list in short order ... even though I don't have one at the moment.

If we're really at a place where categorizing things in lists means you participated in a "summer camp" - i.e. "are a Nazi", then to quote someone in the planking thread, "I don't understand anything anymore".

ATW can be critcized for many things. Attacking him for quickly listing out some usernames, and equating him to a Nazi for doing so, is stupid.

I had no idea but...........kudos for ATW for being able to handle basic memory recall and remember the names of posters he is involved in discussions with. I didn't know that was such a problem for folks that they think he has to make a list??? Try this Memory Boosting game

If you were just using the "making lists" jab as a nazi reference then atleast you are coming up with fresh material! Good job! Because that NAZI HITLER NAZI GERMAN NAZI HITLER schtick - oh god you all suck so bad. :)

great point, but it doesn't coincide with the argument I'm making. To recognize bias in others and work your way from their is an excellent way to make a point. But there comes a point where quest for that link is irrelevent in a certain context. For example, for every thread in the D&D basso's obamamania) and labeling everyone with different ideals as a liberal. I can tell you that the context matters very little to him, its just liberal or non liberal, and he works from their, manipulating whats around him to justify his predispositions. It tends to make everything lame and worthless.
