    LOL...... :D :D :D

Right after this thread of mine came out yesterday, almost every of the sports sites of theose important Chinese websites/portals (163.com, tom.com, sohu.com, qq.com, yahoo.com) made reference to this thread, and published out some of the new nick names that posters here on Clutchfan site had invented for Yao Ming.

And these sites also came up with their own campaigns requesting the Chinese fans to create/invent new nick names for Yao Ming.

Seems to me a lot of popular names that start with "young"

    young dro
    young leek
    young bleed
    young jeezy
    young gunz
    young buck

What about Young Shake for Yao!

Well the most popular one chosen by Chinese fans now is

Yao "Optimus Prime" Ming 姚擎天....as Yao Ming earlier said he wishes to become the pillar/spire of the Houston Rockets and the national team.

    Yes, good job, pryuen.
Especially, yahoo.com used the nickname(Yao Da Lao) that I made for the title.

To me, of the ones previously mentioned, these are the best:

    Chairman Yao
    Ming the Merciless
    7 6 (Chad Johnson style)
    Big Confucious

But I haven't seen anyone mention a few more fitting ones:

    The Emperor
    The Gentle Giant
    Emperor Yao
    Yao the Great

    My 2 cents

I agree. I don't think that any nickname would be better than Yao. Yao is Yao and we shouldn't change it:) For me that's the best too
