During the Q&A session in the Reebok's launch of its biggest ever marketing and promotional campaign "Fuel Yao's Unlimited Power" in China in Beijing on September 25, when asked about his feeling that media and fans still referred him as the Little Giant, Yao Ming expressed that that he is not happy and satisfied with this nick name, and publicly pleaded the media and his fans not to call him Little Giant anymore.

He said: "Ever since I started playing professional basketball, I was referred to as the Little Giant since I was 16 or 17. Now that has been used for 10 years. I'm now 27 years old, I've got married recently, and there is even white hair growing out now. I don't think I am little anymore, even though I am still not to be considered old. Please don't call me Little Giant in future."

As to what nick name he preferred, he jokingly said: "I never heard someone will pick a nick name for himself. I am okay with anything you people choose, as long as it is something nice, easy to remember and pronounce....and, please, not Little Giant anymore."

So what do you guys think? Any good suggestions?

no one here calls him lil giant, so I guess hes not referring to us, just the chinese media. otherwise, Ive always thought the great wall is a lil too obvious, but does it really matter? I dont really care even if yao was called tigger everytime he made an awesome move, cause im still screaming out a lung for him.
