Man our MVP hasn't even had a decent game yet and we're up 2-0. Dirk looks like he hit age 40 overnight. Rondo doesn't look like he gives a f*** about playoff basketball and only played 10 minutes as a result. Parsons is sitting on the sidelines in a suit. Monta is throwing up a brickfest and looks like he's back to being the Monta we all know and laugh at.

Dwight looks fully healthy and in beasting playoff mode. Our defense looks locked in and the roleplayers are playing great.

There's being cautious and then there's being OVER cautious. Have some faith in our guys! Probably gonna take one of two in Dallas then come home and finish them off. Just wait and watch.

Game 2 back in 2005 was down the wire and was won on a fluke shot by T-Mac. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of that series.

Compare that to the first two games today, which was comfortably in double digit deficits. While there's the possiblity that the Rockets can screw this up again, I can comfortably say that the Rockets are good enough now to take advantage of a lesser Mavs team.

Dallas is done. Stop worrying and enjoy it. I want the Rockets to humiliate them. Not even McFail, Maury, and Le$ can prevent this.

There's absolutely zero chance the Mavs win this series

what if the rockets did sweep them and in game 4 was a 30-40 point blowout. the rockets are going to have a game very soon where they a bunch of 3's.

Game 3 should be close since the mavs are playing for their lives, but the rockets should win it.

And remember, there were 4-5 huge BS calls in this last game and yet we were of the verge of a blowout.

That was game 1 wasn't it?
We need a game where Harden goes off and then we need another role player to go off.

Brewer, Terry, Howard, Smith have played their part. Ariza and Jones should go off for the next game and THEN Harden goes off to seal the deal in game 4 in a massive blowout. As Dirk announces his retirement midgame and Parsons and Cuban run away together.

We are about as much better than Dallas this year as they were better than us in 2005. We will win

Between now and next game, McHale will remind the team about 2005 at least a hundred times, but it's a different team with different stars. Even if the Rockets lose game 3 (and it's very possible), I think they win the series in 5 or 6.

2005 is not the series you should compare this to if you're going to go down this road. I agree with all who say it's a lot different, you cannot compare a 4-5 seed match-up and or a team with many limited offensive players under JVG to this incredibly gifted team with a MVP and very deep bench.

Just enjoy this series, it could still go to 5 or 6, but that's okay. I rather not sweep, we need to learn from getting beat and want to see how we deal with defeat. If we need to wait for that against the Clippers / Spurs, that's a bit scary.

That team had Tracy "1st Round" McGrady on it.

I think Dallas still has a lot of fight left in them and game 3 is going to be a war that comes down to the wire. I hope Harden steps up and takes over and wills us to victory.

Game 3's are always pivotal... We take 3 we crush their souls. We give up 3 and momentum shifts.

    No mercy!!!

if u have a good unerstanding on what basketball is and have been watching the rockets this season you're not worried about losing in the first round. mavs can score but their defense sucks in the regular season. 24th in opponent ppg, 16th in fg% and 26th in 3pt%. they give up 102ppg, only ahead of kings, lakers, suns, wolves and nuggets - all lottery teams.

u need defense in the playoffs and rockets have shown they can play good defense but with their anchor out half the season they never played defense to their full potential.

rockets havent even played their best basketball yet and they beat the mavs twice in double digits.
