That's why I said "at least". San Antonio has only proven that they can support one. STL supported the Rams fine when they were winning... And routinely sell out 81 home baseball games each season (which is very hard to do). But just like most other mid-major cities, the support struggles when there is mediocrity along with a sub-par venue to attend games in.

Doesn't' really help all that much either... Most companies want to devote their advertising revenue and corporate sponsorships to teams that actually do play in the immediate area.

San Antonio is still largely going to be a leverage ploy... I agree they're a better market than Nashville was/is.

If true, I hope the Texans consider going back to their original color scheme, which was scraped after the Rams changed to the same gold in '00.

SA hasn't had the opportunity to prove they can support 2 teams.

Best location for SA's stadium, if feasible, is northeast toward New Braunfels.. less than an hour from downtown Austin.

Regardless, best believe if SA got a team, Austin would claim it. Same way they do with the Spurs.

Thought that was just for the SuperBowl.

Both schemes are nice, not sure which I like better. Are there any jersey/logo pics with the gold?

If Raiders move to SA, I am an instant fan. I hat the Cowboys and The all the Texans do is dump on their fan base.

I support S.A. getting an NFL team. That means more closer road trips for Texans road games: Dallas (4-5 hours drive), New Orleans (6 hours drive), San Antonio (3 hours drive), etc.

Would you support realigning the divisions if the Raiders move to San Antonio?

    Option 1)

    AFC West
    Houston Texans
    San Antonio Raiders
    Denver Broncos
    Chargers or Seattle Seahawks

    Crazy Option 2

    AFC South
    Houston Texans
    San Antonio Raiders
    New Orleans Saints
    Tennessee Titans

    NFC South
    Carolina Panthers
    Atlanta Falcons
    Tampa Bay Buccaneers
    Jacksonville Jaguars

    AFC West
    Indianapolis Colts
    Kansas City Chiefs
    Denver Broncos
    Chargers/Seattle Seahawks

I can't imagine either of them will be above ground for too much longer

Do you work for the Texans or Bob McNair?

If not, then who gives a damn. It's not like the Raiders moving to Texas would put the Cowboys and Texans in the red.

Your option two may be better than any options I posted on page 2. I like it.

I'm a fan of option 2. It would help both Texas and Florida teams create some rivalries. Makes sense for the Saints too who already have a fan base in Texas.

I like Option 2 but they'd never go for it.

Cramming that many AFC South and NFC South teams together is kind of opposite what the NFL likes to do. They like the conferences to be equally represented across markets, except in the case of legacy divisions like the NFC North.

Keep the AFC West the same. We'd still play either San Antonio, Dallas, or New Orleans almost once a year.

No; when the Rams changed their uniforms in 2000, the Texans scraped their plans. The scheme was resurrected for the original Super Bowl logo in 2003. I was told McNair really wanted gold (gold v. silver/Cowboys - get it?).

Lame that the shelf life of those Ram uniforms was fairly short; essentially done by 2008 though they actually started to augment them in 2003.

What would the team be called? Would they call it the San Antonio Raiders and risk turning off some Austinites? They couldn't call it the Texas Raiders, as Jerry and Bob won't allow that.

    Central TX Raiders?
    Hill Country Raiders?

Nevermind. They did start the throwback stuff in 2009. Weird.

Why won't the league just add 2 new teams.
