That's true but the scale of disasters like the tsunami and Katrina would still be huge news even without the Internet. Its not like Krakatoa, the 1900 Galveston hurricane or 1906 SF Earthquake weren't big news.
Sorry about the rapid fire posts but this thread has taken an interesting turn. Sorry to hear that things aren't looking so good for you Drox. 2005 wasn't a great year for me either on the personal front, it wasn't as bad as some but not as good as 2004. The best advice I have is just take things as they come and try not to obsees too much about past failures, successes or might've beens. It not easy but it keeps you a lot more level.
