I must have missed them all then.

I saw him make a nice pivot foot spinner off Kirilenko and him getting mugged a few times. The rest were jump shots + 1 3 pointer. Shot chart anyone?

T-Mac started off with more jumpers, but as the game wore on he was more aggressive overall than game 4. He got fouled just about every time he went to the rack, some worse than others, and only once was it called.

I think the refereeing in this game was a good improvement than those previous games. I hope to see the referees keep doing better and we would be
    please to see such improvement.

I think he's become a Jazz fan, he seems to be the biggest poster on that site. I'm not sure what he was watching, but I was getting absolutely sick of seeing the Jazz continue to get away with fouls even with a large Rockets lead. AK is constantly reaching in, slapping, jabbing, and flailing away on every man he guards, particularly TMAC. Okur, Boozer, Harpring, and especially Milsap always go over the back during their offensive rebounding attempts. It seemed to me that the Jazz got to the line more than the Rockets and many times that I thought an obvious foul should be called on the Jazz the very next Jazz possesion a whistled was blown for a ticky tack foul on the Rockets. So no, DD, I don't want to hear it for the officials even if the Rockets won big, they still suck. I'd rather you keep your kudos to the officials and your TMAC hate over on the jazzfanz site than here.

Exactly........this is what I was talking about. They controlled the clutching on the perimeter and let them play in the paint.

    As it should be......

Yeah, sure that is it.

I post EVERYWHERE !!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAH.....in truth I posted a good game thread...and someone asked me because I have been having a debate about the officials, and thought it was a good topic to discuss with my Rocket brothers.

It was a better game for us, because we didn't get called for fantom fouls.

It will be different in jazz's home court, however if we play the way we did it will be a win.

I thought the officiating still sucked, even though it was a little better than the early games in that they let the players play on both sides finally instead of just the Jazz.

Obviously the result for us was alot better, but adding us making shots 47% FG, 33%3P, 79%FT was the reason of the big win.

I just hope we can get better officials who don't fall for flops in the next games as well.

the sad thing was tmac was being hand checked all the way to the basket and fouled on numerous drives (he still shot 50% but i know that at least 4 of his shots were layups misses that he should have gotten a whistle on)

the good thing was that even despite the non calls he kept driving to the hoop

he needs to bring that sort of mentality on friday to utah

I thought this game was best officiated game so far...

Something tells me that it won't stay that way for Game 6.

I thought the officiating was very mediocre.

So I'll give it to them that it was by far the best officiated game of the series.

After this game, I'm done blaming REfs.. HOWEVER.. they do have the power to change a game via bad call during momentum building run, etc. If they don't do that in Game 6, and the Rockets come out to play like they did yesterday.. I don't see how we can lose.. Our defense is pretty spectacular. and with rafer running the point well, Tmac can do his thang.

So.. it all depends on how Utah's home court advantage.. or Ref-calling advantage goes. Ticktack on houston and not utah? murder by boozer and landry--no foul.. but not reciprocated to the Rockets... Then the refs are to blame.

IF that doesn't happen--and that's a big IF--the Rockets have a more than great chance to win.

Problem is... it's Utah.. and they get away with murder and polygamy in Utah. So, I just hope we come out to play and make up for the bad calls and game-changing calls we KNOW the rockets will receive.. Ignore those calls and momentum will not change!

Therefore, I say in the end, it's on the ROCKETS!!

Go in knowing Refs will make booboo calls against you, and play like you have to win by double digits. That's what I would do.

the refs were not great but they were much more consistent. if they consistently don't call flops and allow tough defense then it is big advantage for us. utah is great at flopping. but the main reason we won is because we shot almost 47%. if we shoot over 45% and over 70% from the line then we win. certainly not stellar percentages but the way we play defense it can be enough to get out of the 1st round.

    But its usually over 30.

Remember folks, DaDa said it was the best of the series. It still sucked, but remember how much the previous 4 games sucked worse. And the key was they didnt disrupt the game with phantom fouls. I guess you could say that every foul called yesterday, was a legit by the book foul. Some consistency would be nice as to how much of that by the book is let go before the foul is called, and make it the same for both sides.

I would be satisfied if the refs called the game like this the rest of the series. Inside play has always been more physical in the playoffs.

What was frustrating and just plain wrong was the mauling of McGrady on the outside in the earlier games. Some of the photos in the paper have been extraordinary. Prior to this game, Utah was allowed to grab and hold Tracy (even multiple players) without a whistle. It keeps him from being able to get to the hoop and limits his ability to initiate the offense.

A question for everybody: Can the refs call technical fouls for flopping?

The one thing they HAVE to aboslutely stop is AK constantly grabbing Tmac's hand and then flopping like Tmac pushed him.

Honestly, that is akin to cheating.

The next time he does it, I hope Tmac decides to just timber right on top of him....elbows first.

I recommend this approach to watch a game, I did it yesterday: watching a game with no sound on. It eliminates a little bit of bias...

anyways- this game was BY FAR the best officiated in the series... seems like adelmans comments were noted. that being siad, there were some bad calls- the ones that ticked me off the most were the AK flops, most notably the one where he grabbed tracy's arm on the low block and when tmac tried to move his arm, ak floped and got the foul... ridiculous. I was REALLY mad. That ***** pisses me off.

It was funny to see the jazz players flipping put when there were non-calls (like when boozer got the tech). it was nice to see the rockets giving the jazz a taste of their own medicine.
