I'll bet Matt $1000 to charity that I can smoke him shooting free throws if he has to mimic Chuck's free throw style.

He went 0% on the first 2 even though he made one since he stepped on the line. I imagine he'll step on the line a lot with that crap. When you step on the line you keep misses and lose makes.... not a very good way to improve.

I think Bullard is just giving positive spin...

Haven't read your post, but I'm tired and realized I made a mistake after reading your post in that Bynum's extension thread.

props to chuck. I was only able to watch the second half, and chuck was the difference maker even tho he didn't score in the game. It's amazing how good his man d is, and him switching with ron at the end was also very effective.

How the hell is Head even relevant in this thread? Saying the same thing in different threads doesn't make it true.

I think the (frequent) Chuck-hate on this board stems from people viewing his game as a potential starter. He doesn't score much and would hurt this team some if he had to start. BUT, his game is really based on being a backup defensive stopper who is efficient in his play. When he does come into the game we don't need him to score, we need him to stop the flow of the opposing team. Hayes does this very well, night in and night out. Dirky was really playing beasty going into the 4th quarter. Chuck makes Dirk uncomfortable and he goes 0-3. In the end, 4th quarter play is huge in determining success in the NBA.

Now if we could just find a way to limit Yao's minutes by having more success with Hayes & Landy or Hayes and Scola...

Uhhh yeah he does if I use him to compare to Hayes as far as roles and this stage of both their careers. And of course its true. :D

Hayes is the most underrated defender in the league. This guy is All-NBA defense material.

Chuck, Ron, and Yao turned the mavs into a bunch of fadeaway jump shooters the entire fourth quarter

People think Chuck is expendable because of Scolandry. Of course their production is much more impressive, but when you desperately need a stop like we did last night you put in the Chuckwagon. If we ever get to see him, Artest, and Shane on the floor at the same time it'll be like putting a lid on the rim.

Chuck 100% destroyed irk for the win.

0 points from the field in the 4th and 0 shooting fouls.

thats just sick nasty considering how many points irk had int he previous 3 quarters.

I've seriously watched this game a good 5 times since last night, no joke.

Chuck's D was... so good. I mean, my God guys... this team is so deep and talented, it's almost too hard to believe. AB, Hayes, Barry, Landry, Artest., it's such a wonderful sight.

    Damn, I need a drink.

Chuck Hayes is more stronger than i though, in the league i guess no PF can push him in defence, in preseason , Kevin Ganett cannot ,

when Chuck Hayes and Ron Artest on the floor , these two guys can handle pick&roll, cause they both can defense different pisition's players,

I think Adelman loves our boy Chuck - do tell:
"And all along I was hoping to play Chuck. I didn’t even worry about Chuck getting three fouls in the first half. I had to put him in. He’s got to do the best job, he’s got to stay solid. He does so many things for us when he’s on the court.”

Does it get any better than that?
