I'll gladly join the Chuck defense appreciation, but, there was a missed layup down the stretch.

And, that new God-awful free-throw form needs to go. Do it right, please. How can a professional actually practice that multiple hitch form?

I can live with Hayes' limitations, unlike Luther. Luther's mistakes and limitations are 100 times worse then Hayes' limitations.

Chuck Hayes is why Morey > You.

Rarely does a GM get an impact guy for under $2 million a year.

He is invaluable. The good thing is that he no longer gets in quick foul trouble.

The guy still gives up way too many offensive rebounds and can't make layups. Other than that he is great.

No way. Shooting right and stepping in with your left and he still has an arm hitch. It's worse than before. At least before he could get mutliple shots by tricking the other team into stepping in early. Now he's stepping over the line with his left and shooting right it makes no sense. Maybe he should try shooting left-handed. It can't be much worse.

IMO, it was worse last season. His hitch lasted longer back then. The other team's aware of his hitch now and thus no longer commit as many lane violations as before.

It's a smoother shot. The less hitch there is, the most consistent the stroke will be.

Hayes was amazing, and worked really well with Artest, IMO.

When we need a defensive push, I expect to see a combination of Artest and Hayes or Artest and Battier, depending on the matchup.

Stepping with your left and shooting right makes you off balance every time. If you actually shot a ball you'd know that. Look at 100% of all shooters. They step with the same side as the shooting hand.

Matt Bullard is a shooter. A very good one. He thinks Chuck's free throws look better than last year. I'll agree with him.

The great thing about the defensive line-up show all mentioned is that Tracy is a good defender and can be great when he wants and Yao doesn't exactly hurt us on D either.

Great job by Chuck. We all talk about Ron and Shane, but Chuck is just as good.

I was awesome to see how deep we are this year. No Mac in the closing minutes and we win by ten?

How many ways can you say Luther Head sucks? It's funny that you registered right after Head hit the rookie wall. Some of us who were around then still see some potential in Luther. He makes less than $2 million, and brings in solid shooting off the bench. His contract expires after next year, so it's not like the Rockets are stuck with him or anything.

It'll be interesting to see what his minutes will be or how often when Battier is back.

If the Rockets plan to re-sign Artest and keep Battier they need to cut costs somewhere and it'll need to be during this season.

    LOL OMG

You really think I started following the Rockets the day I registered with Clutchfans?

The word Potential and Luther Head don't coincide anymore. He is what he is and to me he's not good enough to be kept if we want to be considered serious title contenders. Luther is just another "OK" NBA player that will have an unremarkable career in the NBA that just happens to be on a good team. Honestly, he's more of a LA Clippers type of player.

Chuck Hayes, he is what he is also, no more potential in him either. The difference is that his strengths are valued more on this team and we have enough offensive weapons to minimize his weakness.

Plus I like Chuck's demeanor and body language, it tells me he he'll do whatever it takes, accept whatever role given to him, and keep working hard. Luther, he's got a nonchalant attitude sometimes, indicisiveness at times, going through the motions at times, and shows no sign of working on his weaknesses. The only reason he's not called a journeyman player is cause he's been on only one team, otherwise the term fits him to a T.
