LOL you hated on him a few weeks ago. I tease. I just have to say that watching Ron and Chuck shut down Howard and Dirk by switching back and forth on them was a thing of beauty. JVG and Tom T would be so proud.
What's so great about hayes is that on the PnR he and artest can switch without being it a mismatch at all
Naw, that was more me just being immature and trying to get at you. I already apologized about that. Hayes is a defensive stud! Nothing more, nothing less.
Hey Batkins or whoever posts up videos, I know you don't usually do this type of thing, but I think it would be much appreciated if a recap of all the great defensive stops were put up. It would be really awesome to see the excellent D that Artest and Chucky put up tonights. Once again, it would be much appreciated =] Thanks.
It's also pretty noticeable that's he been working on his post moves. Though, I highly doubt Adelman would run a play for him to postup and score. The only offensive plays Chuck's actively participating in is either being a recipient of a pass for an easy layup or passing the ball from the high post to a player cutting to the basket. The later of which he did excellently in the 4th quarter. Too bad Artest missed the layup though.
If you knew anything about me, you would know I LOVE LOVE LOVE great defense. trust me, if it is awesome D, it makes it onto the clip video.
Chuck delivered very good passes to cutters from the high post in both games so far. Unfortunately, the cutter couldn't complete the play in either case, but he does appear to have improved passing ability in that role.
Can't underestimate the value of Chuck. I was screaming at the TV in the 3rd when Scola was getting owned by Dirk, great sub by Adelman...Chuck played great
why give up on chuck? for what? chuck does what he does extremely well and he's a situational player. with the right lineup, we don't need him to score. so that minimizes his weakness on offense.
with chuck and artest on the court, it seems like we have two nfl players ONE position that realy impressed me was when Bass was posting up on Hayes and kept bumping him to get room, and I was thinking to myself, Whoa Bass is a big guy, Hayes might not be able to hold his own. Boy was I wrong, Bass tried his hardest to bump hayes, but got bumped off balance himself. Hayes was as solid as a rock and didnt even twitch resulting in Bass shooting an off balance 2. Hayes might not look like the biggest Mofo out there, but he is amazingly strong. Do yall remember that position?
you can see this numerous times in the whole season. that is chuck's big strength. (of course, when td shoots over check, i'd be yelling every time - put yao on timmy! )
Actually, maybe we would want him to not be able to dunk the ball, because otherwise we would not be able to afford him. I would want longer arms from chuck though....
