And the whole point is that they already have the majority of the players they want to rebuild around, and those are the same guys you are trying to acquire! They cannot, by NBA rules, trade TJ Ford. They will not trade Desmond Mason, Michael Redd, or any player along those lines. They will not trade for overpaid backups. They will be willing to trade away their overpaid players, but not for more of them. I'm sorry, but that shouldn't be hard to understand.
