It was more fun when it looked like the guys were having fun on the field. They seem tense. Need to loosen up. Hope that changes.
So, this guy was a lot smarter than he seemed when he came up with this "motivational" (de-stressing) tool.
Good point ... Also would be good for Toronto to lose (down 3-0) and KC to win later so that way KC really has something to play for going up against the Twins this weekend.
But why not mention Brad Lidge? Or Will Harris... who lost it 2 weeks ago, and now has it again? I don't think Neshek is injured... it's been the ultimate combination of pitching mistakes with absolutely zero luck (remember, even pitches right down the middle turn into outs more often than not). There are guys who do turn it around... and Neshek will get another hold opportunity before the season is done.
Rooting for the Rangers. The Division is more of a pipe dream. The playoffs are all that matters. The Rangers are only going to sit after a win, so it's doesn't really matter when it comes, better to get it over with early. I'm not sure they won't play hard though the rest of the way as they would surely prefer the Astros in than the Angels with Trout and Pujols.
As we prepare for a very meaningful game 162, I feel we should reflect back on what our MLB rotation looked like heading into last season. http://www.crawfishboxes.com/2014/2/25/5445754/spring-training-2014-astros-rotation-coming-into-focus Feldman was clearly our ace, and Dallas Keuchel had a solid chance to merely make the rotation by beating out the likes of Paul Clemens, Lucas Harrell, Jerome Williams, Alex White and David Martinez. Plus a scrub with a career 0-8 record and an 8.94 ERA that we claimed on waivers from Colorado for some inexplicable reason.
isn't that beautiful. (I think Lucas Harrell was the "young guy who might turn it around and do something" of that group, too...until he started the season)
