The base post face up player in the leaue is Sheed Wallace. he ha amaing latteral Quickness for a 6'11 giant. yao would get the rock stipped out of his hand in 2 Seconds if he ever tried to faceup people. bad idea!

That happens to every player. Tmac's FG% is very inconsistent
too, but he'll always get his number with 20+ shots. I think
Yao could still shoot ~50% with a mix of high and low post
game. He will get the ball much easier for 15 ft jumpers and
put up ~18 shots per game. That's better than ignoring your
most efficient scorer for 4-5 mins now and then. Yao can get
his shot off against anybody and I trust his jumpers much
    more than Sura's and Wesley's.

He doesn't need to dribble like Sheed. Just shot over people like
    Tmac.

Duncan has many Yao-esque TOs in the post too. He's not a
quick decision-maker, usually waiting for double-team and then
    passing out.

Yao can create his shot off dribble. He did it against Eric Dampier with a head fake. At least, Yao can drive closer for a shot when there is good spacing. Yao can move when he's challenged. That's why he can defend Duncan, Garnett and Stoudamire.

Plus, being fast or able to dribble aren't prerequisites for a face up game, how fast was Sabonis and how many times did he dribble? Not to mention there's is high post plays that don't require a big man to dribble.

Having YAO face up would actually cut down on his Turnovers 'cause almost every time he turns the ball over is because of a guard coming from the blindside and stripping it. That and the completely BS offensive foul calls that he is consistently called on.

Exactly.. so if he misses 2-3 FGs from that range it's almost the equivilent of him turning it over or an offensive foul in the post. But we also have a chance to rebound the miss, yea it's not a very good chance to rebound but it's better than no chance like a turnover is (unless padget or t-mac chase and get the steal back like they always do).
