Scouting reports are in for Jones. Now he has to adjust. All young players go through this.

U hit nail head with hammer! Just kidding....good post. I agree all things considered we are doing pretty well. However, i am discouraged by the fact that we are below average defensively at 3 positions(pg, sg, and pf). I thought we might be able to win with jones, however, now i am in agreemt that we have to upgrade at the pf.

Team news offensive strategy adjustment and more set plays since they run more halfcourt offense. Injuries aren't the reasons for many of the teams issues.

Don't hit the panic button on Jones he plays much better with a healthy Harden and Beverly. He is a good complement to Howard in that he is active laterally and can play above the rim.

excellent post TJ is not the answer. Morey needs to trade him before his value keeps on plummeting. I've said this numerous times, with TJ we will not will a chip in the near future.

Offensively that adjustment is him stroking the 3-ball. Defenses are now giving him the 3-ball and playing off him. He's gotta stroke it.

Defensively teams are putting him in the popcorn machine. Indy and now Dallas and even before that. Teams are just taking him to school forcing him to make decisions/switches, etc. and he bombed.

    Good luck with that.

    1. He's not ready - you can pull a few rabbits out of the hat in the NBA but not consistently and not as the season wears on and other playoff teams who are scouting and scheming to win discover who you really are. It's gonna get tougher for Jones not easier.

    2. He won't be ready this year - simply isn't going to happen. His jumper mechanics are not there. It will take at least a whole off season to revamp his jump shot.

    3. He can't play backup center effectively. Simply too small. You put him and Casspi out there on the 2nd unit and the opponents just chew through them. Too small man. He can't do anything about that.

This team needs Asik back in the worst way and we need McHale/Asik/Dwight to figure out how to co-exist on court for 12 minutes a game.

It's nice to have Dwight, but really unfortunate about all the injuries.

I remember last season when the Rockets were finally starting to get recognized around the Christmas holidays. I feel like that game against the Bulls was when we started to click on all cylinders and the league took notice.

This season, as long as the team can have that kind of gelling at the right time i.e. March/April, then I don't care what spot we get 1 through 8. This is our time to fully heal.

McHale is not doing a good job, or we would be hearing less of the same crap over and over as he holds players accountable, instead we get his palms up a shoulder shrug and talk of sticky ball or some other thing the Rox continually mess up.

55 wins is not the goal, a championship is.

I was at the game last night and mannnnn was it quite!!!!
It gets me so angry that people don't even clap or make any sort
Of noise when our guys are trying to get back into the game. I mean, is
It really so effin hard to clap or yell!!!?? What's the point of home court advantage
If we never take advantage of it. Crowd noise puts pressure on the visiting team and
Also the refs.. We force the other team into making bad plays if you believe it or not
And the refs get nervous about making bad calls that they end up making good calls
For the home team. Has anyone ever heard of the 12th man I'm football? It's the crowd!!
It gets me so fired up when I see "fans" sitting on there asses at the game and falling asleep. If only houston had fans as , let's say, okc Portland spurs Miami Indiana.
I guess what I wanna say is,

Get the F@&k up and clap for the rockets!!
We need to tear the mutha flipping roof off of the toyota center!!!
    Lazy ass people

    Rant over

Mostly agree except McHale isn't doing a good job. Harden has no respect for him..that alone is grounds for termination. He is "allowed" to jack whatever shots he wants, play poor defense, with no consequences. Poor example/tone to set for the rest of teammates. Easier to fire the coach than the player. Rockets win by talent alone, similar to a certain local football team.

Its upon the Organization to organize fans perhaps and even pay for people who will be leaders of fans...something like cheerleaders...i guess a million US a year wouldnt be too much to giv for this purpose and it would pay for itself in better atmosphere , more wins and overal better experience in games......

I'm gonna keep saying this until the Feb trade deadline: Morey, please trade TJ while his value is still high. He ain't the answer. Sick and tired of being dirked around like today and losing

    Good post quick question bro

Offense, defense, rotations, 3ball, p&r D etc, what's your rank 1-4, what 2 would you want on the roster ? "Jones, Morris, dmo, ppat,"

Nah, I think he would be better served being a backup off the bench for now. we need a PF that can create his own shot and be a threat. Jones only scores off off rebounds and passes from others. To be contenders we need another creater. Parsons is ok at it from time to time, but a better PF would be better. Im hoping one shakes free to us at the deadline for Asik.

Jones is not a second second option - he is an opportunitey role player that can do most thing well. We don't need a new power forward - we need a healthy non traded team - which Jones fits fine with. All we lack is some defense on the wing which could / should come from the coach coaching the players / all-star he has on the roster. The season is long - give time, time.

To be honest against the likes of Dirk and LMA you're gonna have to play some situational TT to slow them. You can't stop them, but you can make it more difficult for them.
