    lol wow

He won't ever be guarding the opposing PG.
Why would his TOs go up. He already handles the ball a ton.

Also, Harden had I believe 7 assists in the first half before Parsons started raining threes.

That is what happened last night. Harden had 13 ast last night.

McHale and the coaching staff did a great job for cross-training all our players.

We have seen in the last 3 games that Bev is not the answer as starting pg. His offense and assist are too low to help out the starters when their games are off. This will happen a lot during the playoff games. McHale has tried different combinations, like TT, TJ/DMo/Casspi, Bev starting over Lin. He is trying to see which works the best. Now Bev starting isn't working because we really need a starting pg with scoring prowess to step in when the other starters have bad games (and they happen quite often now). The 3pts are not falling. So we need ball movement and penetration to compensate.

It is either Lin or Harden for penetration, not Bev. We need a more consistent deadly 3 pt specialist to compensate our inconsistent 3 pts shooting. We are too streaky in that dept right now. So if McHale is dead set against Lin starting like what worked last year, then hell let Harden officially starts and pull Bev back to a back up role for defense purpose. Get Jimmer Fredette before he is snatched by other team and he is cheap to complement Harden. If Harden fails as starting pg., and Lin not being traded, I say the experiment by McHale & Morey is over, and they should put Lin back starting like last year. At least as a starter he has more confidence in himself and can play better like how he played last year after ASG when Harden was fading due to over usage & fatigue. At least he can bring the beautiful, exciting uptempo, ball sharing bb back to Houston and we can keep scoring high number of points, and the games are much more enjoying than the ugly half court slowed down ones that we lost this year to many nobody teams. If Lin fails as a starter this year, yes then the Rockets can trade him or demote him justifiably. We have got nothing to lose. The present starting make up just doesn't work. So try Harden as official PG and put Lin back in as last year if Harden's experiment doesn't work. I don't know about others, but last year's balls are much better to watch.

Honestly, I've given up worrying about it.

Until the trade deadline, none of our players or positions are set. Its just a free for all out there. Killing chemistry.

The only player who has had any real consistency has been Parsons. He is our starting SF.

So I figure Morey will probably trade him... lol

Harden is our best playmaker and Parsons is our best shooter. Harden at PG and Parsons at SG.

The current starting make up doesn't work. There is no consistent 3pt specialist(s) out there. Even Parsons can be off. We should trade Lin or Korver, Dunleavy, Fredette, even Calerdon. If Lin is not tradable and the coaches do not want him to start, we trade Asik for a dependable 3pt shooter to help this team. We are a 3pt shooting team but our 3pt shooting this year is dismal at best. Kind of miss Patterson who now is a 3pt threat in Raptors as a stretch 4. Can't expect TJ to do that yet.

Agree with this, even Adam Wexler said in the podcast that we absolutely need a 3-point specialist and we need it bad. Teams are just sagging off on all our shooters daring us to just shoot 3s.

This is especially bad for Howard. He has no reliable high % 3 pt specialist to dish out to when he is doubled. If Beverley is the pg feeding him the ball, Bev's defender will double Howard to dare Bev to shoot 3s. They will take chances on a 1/10 guy than a sure 2 pts from Howard playing him one-on-one.

I swear this board needs a section for the select few who have an average or above Basketball IQ.

Lin is playing so well tonight. It really makes you wonder why Lin can't play this way when Harden is in the game.

It's been beat down already. Harden holds onto the ball for 90% of the time. I've said it a million times, let Lin start and play point. Then the Rockets will flourish. Harden will find it's alot easier for him to make shots if he is open or has spacing to work with when Lin passes him the ball.

Harden likes to hog the ball and McHale is not doing anything about it.
