Heads impressive for a rookie and we all should be excited.

Wes, DA and Alston all seem to be struggling w/ their shot, DA, Alston, Head haven't been worked into the system so team chemistry sucks.

But lets be realistic, Head is a rookie and makes rookie mistakes and it doesn't take much to seee them. We will not be a championship team without DA and Wes and Alston picking their game up a bit and DA and Alston getting into the system (which also means giving JVG team to accomodate them), they all need court time. JVG won't wait for each of them forever, but we're only 8 games into the season and the team that JVG put on the court last night ... held the Spurs to 16 4th quarter points and nearly stole the game. And that even though we have limited team offense (like last year...again after so many changes).

Patience, and look at the big picture. JVG is thinking about what he needs this team to be at the end of the season. A spot or two in the seeding means little compared to getting us firing on all cylinders. Very much like last year, except if he can pull this off again JVG will have much younger legs to work with at the end of the year.

I agree 100%. Basically since our team relies on shutting down the paint so much. We end up with a lot of long rebounds. So rebounding from our guards and the SF position is very important. Even more so than at the C position. Yao could use a lot of improvement of rebounding

But generally most of the rebounds we create are of the long variety. The kind which our guards should be picking up. Boy, do we miss Sura.

As a former Illini, I'd love to start Head every game. But no, Head is not good enough to start, he is still making some bone head mistakes out there. He is killing me with those quick pull-ups during the fast break. He needs to sit on the bench, and watch the game before get on the court.

Read somewhere that Rox are actually #1 in the league in opponents ppg. So the defense is definitely there. The problem though is that we're also the last in offensive ppg. A margin of 4 points or so. If the root of the problem is getting over this 83 ppg average by 4 points, then the solution could simply be starting Head and giving him a few extra looks at the bucket. As a rookie, you know the effort will be there. The energy and effort PLUS he's shown the ability to score.

Losing T-Mac isn't the end of the world. But getting a few more points out of our squad before things get worse is a priority!

START HEAD NOW! and forget the whole seniority thing with minutes.
