I'm pretty sure any "help" Israel offers would just create an even bigger mess. The government will paint the anti-Mubarak folks as Zionist spies and collaborators and have an excuse to really to go town on them Tiananmen Square style (with machine guns and tanks, none of this camels and sticks crap).
CAIRO – President Hosni Mubarak has said in an interview with ABC News that he wants to leave office now, but cannot for fear the country will sink deeper into chaos. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110203/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_egypt
I'm sure the people are willing to 'sink deeper into chaos' for a period of time just as long as Mubarak is gone.
From the article: Not sure how he explains the camels. I mean, the pro-Mubarak folks came in with their horses and sticks and knives and camels agitating for a fight, is he saying that it was the Muslim Brotherhood who hired these guys to make Mubarak look bad? Anyhow, it seems what the regime will do is offer up a few scape goats and insolate Mubarak from any blame-- say it'ssome NDP officials/supporters who mobilized the camel jockeys without any knowlege by Mubarak (who is jut SHOCKED at such violent acts and will MAKE SURE those bastards get spanked).
I agree with that. Why do you think that the guys on the camels and horses are Mubarak people? How do we know that they are not Muslim Brotherhood people?
What is their way? Don't the MB want to overthrow Mubarak? Would agitating protesters and creating more chaos not help this cause? I just saw a German TV report in which you can see that they are chasing foreigners now, because someone is spreading rumors that all the chaos and unrest is caused by foreigners/the USA/Israel. Guess who would be spreading those rumors: Mubarak's people? Maybe, but Mubarak has been sort of an ally of the USA, so it certainly does not seem that it would help him to alienate the only ones who have not totally turned against him yet. Peaceful, moderate Egyptian protesters? I don't think so. People who have this mindset anyway (that the USA/"Zionists"/Foreigners/Infidels are responsible for all evil) = the Muslim Brotherhood? Yes.
I don't think you know anything about the Muslim Brotherhood. Except for the obligatory "they have 'Muslim' in their name so they must be a terrorist group."
And how do they explain all the police IDs being found on these guys when the protesters catch them? The MB just "happened" to find a whole bunch of ex-Mubarak thugs willing to bust some heads while riding camels in order make Mubarak look bad? Mubarak's spin machine is out of whack.
I know the Muslim Brotherhood isn't a terrorist or even extreme organization. What do you think you know?
The main thing Israel is concerned about is maintaining their peace treaty. Sending people to Egypt to help overthrow it would sort of violate that.
Extreme depends on where you stand. If you do not think they are extreme, it shows where you stand. --------------- Egypt`s Islamists call for war with Israel Egypt should prepare for a war with Israel, the Suez Canal is needed to be closed and gas deliveries form Egypt to Israel seized, Mohamed Ghanem, one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt said in an interview to the English-language Al-Alam news agency. The Muslim Brotherhood members are radical Islamists who oppose President Hosni Mubarak. They joined the protests on the very first day, demanding that the former IAEA chief Mohammed El-Baradei replaced Mubarak. http://english.ruvr.ru/2011/02/03/42620283.html
We obviously know where you stand as well. You think a Muslim with a beard, prays 5 times a day, and doesn't drink alcohol is an extremist.
No, I don't think that. I actually have friends like that. I do think that people who call for war with Israel are extremists. You disagree. Fine. We know where you stand.
LOL let me know when you find a more legit news source. If he did say this, it would be all over the news. Not one some website that looks like you just created yourself and made up this article.
ATW is sorta like Mubarak's thugs; every so often making a mad charge into the thread/square to hijack the thread/square to his anti-muslim obsession.
If the MB really is calling for war on Israel, I'm sure that'll go over well with the people of Egypt and win them a ton of votes in the upcoming election, because the Egyptian people's chief complaint about the Mubarak regime was that there wasn't enough war with Israel in recent years.
