If we actually use this pick I’ll be amazed. In a year when so many lotto teams are actually willing to trade their pick and the draft depth is shallow, Houston should be trying to move up as high as possible using #17, #26 and player assets. Coming out of this draft with two high lotto picks would be a huge success.

This is where the guys considered at 17 that I was low on are all of a sudden very sexy. The 9 spot difference makes it difficult, but give me EJ Lidell, Tyty Washington, Nikola Jovic, Jaden Hardy at 26 all day.

26 picks usually garbage so I hope Stone picks up one our star player's ex teammates or friends.

I think that will motivate them to work hard to try to get starter minutes like it did for Christopher.

It can be moved for a future 1st round pick though not likely in 2023 if nothing else works out.

That’s the only thing that makes sense. If you can move up by giving up 17 and 26 and filler you’ve got to do it. I love the upper half of this draft.

Always talent late in the draft. Just have to find it.

    Picked later than #26...
    Manu Ginobli
    Nikola Jokic
    Tony Parker
    Khris Middleton
    Gilbert Arenas
    PJ Tucker
    Goran Dragic
    Trevor Ariza
    Danny Green
    Draymond Green
    Lou Williams
    Paul Millsap
    Kyle Korver
    Carlos Boozer
    Toni Kukoc
    Antonio Davis
    Rashard Lewis
    Many more....

Hoping it can fetch the 14-16th pick when added to the 17th pick

The problem with this list is you forgot picks 27-60. All those guys are in play for 26.

Personally I think 26 pick is still pretty decent, this draft reminds me a lot of 2019 draft class there are so many forward prospects players fall thru the cracks.

No team has had 38 picks in the next 7 yrs before OKC. Nobody took an Asian #1 before Rockets. Being 1st isnt necessarily a bad thing.

Some of the names mentioned are on the chubby list. NBA combine sorted by body fat % (nba.com). Need to get on that South Beach diet.

Kennedy Chandler intrigues me. Poor FT% was a fluke. Kessler/Jovic/Hardy also intriguing drop targets.

Well done Stone, you magnificent b*stard.

We all know, no matter who you get at 26 he will not be better than Wood. He should have been playing a stretch 4, he is not a center.
