Seriously? Is this what we are discussing, Les' fondness for his dog? Tell me I'm still asleep. That's where I'm a Viking.
Welcome to the real world buddy. If you work for someone else in this capitalist system and for some stupid reason you believe or delude yourself that your employer "really cares" about you then you are either a jerk or a puck (in reference to caring about Rudy). This is the real world. No matter how much you put into any company that is NOT YOURS, when push comes shove you will be shoved out even if you have put it 30 years or 70 years into the organization. It is a brutal world my fren - deal with it. This is why I like life after death.
He is not a jerk. He owns the team. He can do whatever he wants. But you can also have your opinions........and people should respect them. BUT LES ALEXANDER IS THE FREAKIN OWNER. You can't do anything about that. Oh well! Family.......his dog is part of his family. Some rich people just own teams for fun! He doesn't even live in Houston. He's the guy with the money. He might have made a mistake though..
Judas Alexander has an army of slapdick acolytes on this website who are willing to believe he didn't just fire the best coach this franchise will ever have.
when Les said he cares more about his dog means his "DAWG" ( the new coach), thats what he meant. Just kidding!
Rudy's definitely the best coach the Rockets had based on the situation when Dream was around at the height of his career and veteran leadership within the team was also available. I'm sorry to say this, because Rudy's someone I respect fully, but our young players are all underachieving under Rudy. Either his assistants aren't doing the job, or he's not doing the job. Of course, it works both ways... but motivation comes from the top... and that's Rudy T. As for the comments that Les has the money and doesn't have to care. That guy spent more money on this franchise than he'll ever have to. Yes, he's rich, but I believe he'll give up plenty of that to have another championship.. prolly not even for himself.. but for Houston. Can we say more for Drayton?? He tries but then always resulted in cuts. But that's a story for another day. dogs? we're arguing cuz Les loves his dog? Hey, if I own one and I believe Les has his for years. They ARE a part of your family. And, I believe that family > business + money. I don't even know if you live around Houston.. wasn't it a few weeks ago when a man risked his life and jumped into a burning building in Houston to save his dog? Some people don't think life will ever be the same if anything happens to their pet(s). It's very logical... and besides... if he puts the team ahead of his family pet... we'll have a post on animal cruelty
