Les' wife to blame for new ball???

    omfg...some left wing housewife convinced david stern to change the ball? what a weak minded prick...look at the trouble it's caused for the players... :rolleyes:

    $125 million over 8 years is not a lot of money. That's the contract of one maxed out player. All the same, I'm sure it is a crucial deal for Spalding, and the NBA is probably interested in maintaining good relations with them. The NBA would survive recalling the ball, but for Spalding it would hurt.

    I wouldn't say it's anything to scoff at. It's notably more per year than a stadium deal.

    I just got to shoot around with the new ball at LA Fitness today and it's horrible. Some guy I was playing with brought it. I feel bad that he had to spend 100 bucks for it. Once the 5 on 5 games starting the new ball was quickly thrown aside for one of the gym's balls. I wouldn't pay 20 bucks for that ball.
