He'll never sell the team as long as it makes a profit. He's okay about spending money as long as the bottom line is not negative. While alot of his other ventures have gone south he has maintained some wealth with the Rockets. It's his nest egg. He wants to make the playoffs because it generates revenue but also because he thought it would keep the fans pacified. Mr. Les the natives are restless. (Opinion)

He's not selling the team. Stupid thread. Its not going to happen. Him and his buddies own all the teams here in Houston, and have their handprint on new TV deals coming down the pipe. He's not a terrible owner, and he's definitely not a great owner.

You could have the Magoofs, or you could have Mickey Arison.... The Rockets are somewhere in the middle.

He's a decent owner who wants to do the admirable thing by trying to win and get better at the same time. Its going to be tough, very tough to watch, and you are going to hate him for it, but its what he wants to do. If he fails and this team is stuck doing this merry-go-round for 10 more seasons then thats on his ass.

That being said, as a die hard Rockets fans, they are going to be a hard team to root for the next couple of seasons unless someone on that bench or that gets drafted takes their game to a new level. Im not holding out hope.

I realize its never been done before, and Im going to put a few holes in my wall if I keep watching this team in the next few seasons. Its tough and the city is going to turn on this franchise if they havent already.

The NBA is a tough league. Its truly the haves, and have-nots. The Rockets have been dealt a 3 of spades, and a 4 of hearts at the blackjack table, and the dealer always has an ace in their hand. Thats the NBA folks, and thats the reality of the have nots of the NBA.

I know some of you would rather keep Morey than have Les. Guess what guys? Les leaves and so does Morey with the new owner too. Thats most likely to happen. I only want to talk about things that are possible like the GM being replaced and not the owner who has to replace himself.

The natives are only pacified if he have a chance to 3rd round every damn year.... that hasn't happened once in a decade.

The GM who challenges the owner is going to get fired anyway...

Les' biggest accomplishment as a Rockets owner has been buying a team with Hakeem Olajuwon in his prime.

And the only only reason that happened was because previous owner was a scumbag.

I'm just shocked that Les is so passive about his empty lifeless arena and the complete lack of energy among the fan base.

He knows what this city is like when it rallies behind the Rockets. He was there in 94-95.

    DO something Les....for goodness sakes!

Les does not own the TEXANS or Astros or Dynamo and I am so glad, because we would have no good teams in Houston and I would have to move to another city and start all over. Thank GOD for the TEXANS, love ya bob mcnair:cool:

This thread addresses the root problem of the Rockets; most fans don't realize it because they think Les won two championships. He didn't. Les actually means Less, and that is exactly what has happened to this team since he bought it.
