Wow Les laying the hammer down. So much respect for this. It wasn't JUST Mchale. But he was a big problem and can't fire the players. You can however trade them and if they give piss poor effort they should be gone. No matter who it is. This situation has been embarrassing. I hope this lights a fire and we can move on from this.

I did not watch the past 4 losses. Just refreshed the gamecast from time to time. I did not watch because I didn't want to waste my time with what I've seen so far this year.

My question is what makes you think Les is singling out Harden? I mean is Harden the only one that's not giving an effort? Are there any other dishonorable mentions worthy of Les's comments? (honest question)

Trade Howard to the Warriors for Iggy or Barnes + Bogut. Takes them out of the running for Durant. We get Durant to make Harden care again. Harden will know if he doesnt get it together, the Rockets will trade him in favor of building around Durant.

Les said what every fan was thinking. I didn't boo on Monday night, but almost did and I sure felt like the people booing were justified. The Rockets deserved to be booed. I felt violated after that game, again.

Thank god the change was made sooner rather than later...just don't hire Scotty Brooks. Scotty Brooks had Harden guarding Lebron in the finals, for Christ's sake! He's an awful coach.

Man ***** is getting real in the H. Very important stretch of basketball to be played over the next month... I am confident JB can turn this team around.

this is what an employer which pays thousands of bucks to its employee, who is doing an awful job should have done anyway, if i am paying that much money to my employee and they are just playing around without any effort, then you will be let go.....

Gotta admit, it felt good to read that. I personally sent a tweet to Morey after the Nets debacle calling for Mchale's firing.

    Now.

What impact will all of this have on them? One of 2 things will happen.

    1. They will receive this as the wake up call needed and play their asses off and start to click.

    2. They will continue to flail, fall apart, start blaming each other, demand trades, destroy the team.

How Harden responds to this (on the court, that is) will tell you everything you need to know about him as a franchise player, IMO. I hope he can use it as motivation to get serious and return to the kind of leadership we saw from him last season, rather than pouting and/or adopting a "screw you, trade me" attitude.

    I agree.

If Harden does a "screw you, trade me" attitude after today, he may jump the ranks and become the most hated Rockets player of all time.

All signs point to him being sensitive and holding grudges. So it might not work out for the best that Les said that.

    well said!

No matter we as fans try to find as excuses this is the time for the player to respond directly on the court. And not just for the tonight's game.

I am so glad the owner has the balls to say something like this. Because it wasn't the losses that hurt it was the absolute lack of effort.
And the main recipient is Harden here.

if Harden wants to hold some kind of grudge instead of assuming responsibillity like a man for his shameful perfomance then he's not worth it. He's not worth being the franchise player of any team and he should be traded.
Because he lacks heart and PRIDE. And wherever else he ends up after he will win nothing.
But I think he will respond. On the court.

I will know there is progress when we do not emediatly turn the ball over after calling a timeout to draw up a play.

Les is a ****ing savage. Holy **** I always thought he was a Scrooge-type cheapskate, but now I'm convinced he moonlights as a serial killer.

Why is Harden the only one this is directed at? I haven't watched the past 4 debacles, but are there any other players on the team that could fit this comment?

by the way, seeing that Les is "on fire" today is refreshing and has helped alleviate the massive disappointment of this season.
