No, it was all Les and his refusal to spend into the luxury tax during his ownership that resulted in our two titles.

 

Les brought in Morey from the Celtics organization and hired him to be the assistant GM to Dawson with the express intent of grooming him to be the GM. You make it sound like Dawson hired Morey and he worked for him for years and took over the job when he retired. When actually Les hired him because he knew CD would be retiring soon.

 

And don't forget, he royally screwed Rocket's fans with the Comcrap deal. Fans used to be able to watch Rocket's games on FoxSW. Now all you get is the Mavs. He made millions, the Rocket's fans lost.

He built the foundation that the Rockets are for Houston fans first
And that he had Olajuwon and Steve Patterson who built those championship teams with drafting Cassell and Horry

 

Yes Les only cared about money and specifically Chinese money and fans
