i was just taking the piss w/ the 1st poster to use those two terms hence the quotes. I shoulda put a smiley by them. Verile and Nubile-
First you say that others are wrong when everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Then you say you are enraged when getting into an argument. Next you classify people that like Leno, by saying something is wrong with them. After all this you escape out the back door, by saying you're not going to get sucked in. Dude, who really cares what you think. After all this, I believe you need to look in the mirror.
I definitely noticed your quotation marks, I just pluralized it because it was less confrontational that way. Don't worry, nobody thinks you have t*tties
I think Leno is rather pedestrian, but my friend said his stand up is more adventurous. Letterman is ok, I like him better. I'll take his 'odd' humor over Leno. I've been a big fan of Conan since it's inception. Haven't given Craig Ferguson or Kimmel much of a chance. But come on, I stay up until 4 am on a Sunday just to catch Entertainers w/ Byron Allen. Easily the best.
Ferguson is underrated imo. I used to think he sucked and was impossible to understand. But his monologue's are actually funny now, and he's good with guests. He still throws in 10 minutes of completely boring stupid crap most shows, though. But sometimes I watch him over Conan as you can only watch Conan do his thing so long.
I like Ferguson as well. I actually like his crazy rambles. It seems like he's making it up on the spot.
Verile is truly a word, by the way. It means of or pertaining to Vera. It fits well with the guys comparing themselves to marriageable young women.
LOL. sounds like at least one person does, sweetiepie. and, uh, that's for rehashing my post. 'twas really nice of you. gonna hop back out the backdoor now. maybe there's a mirror out there for me to, you know, look in and whatnot. HAIL DAVE!
And thats with the ****ty writers Conan has. Letterman has the best writers so he is so far the best. When Conan goes primetime with Leno's writers, watch out haha
Who says i don't! Ain't nuthing wrong wit manboobies. (JK, no manboobies on this nubile guy, or Verile for lack of a better word)
What? Conan's writers are ****ty? I have to disagree. They are some of the funniest folks I've ever seen. He's always had a really good writing staff. I guess humor is subjective, but they are definitely extremely imaginative and creative. I guess some things may fall short, but it's usually because they are taking big risks. Bigger risks than a lot of the other shows. Kimmel does a good job with trying different things as well.
Speaking of Fallon and his new show. http://www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com/blogs/2008/12/december-9-video-blog---day-2/ <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://widgets.nbc.com/o/4727a250e66f9723/4941c4948de9ce11/4727a250e66f9723/3aecd187/-cpid/a3218d513461aa53" id="W4727a250e66f97234941c4948de9ce11" width="384" height="283"><param name="movie" value="http://widgets.nbc.com/o/4727a250e66f9723/4941c4948de9ce11/4727a250e66f9723/3aecd187/-cpid/a3218d513461aa53" /><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="allowNetworking" value="all" /><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always" /></object>
I don't even watch these late shows anymore, but I liked Conan the best. His funny interactions with the guests and dorky self deprecating everyman demeanor was what made me watch his show periodically. Polar opposite was Craig Kilborn, his smarmy preppy d-bag demeanor made me want to punch him in the face through the TV. Actually never watched a full show of his, would catch a youtube segment of a guest that I did a search on (Shirley Manson - made my day when she told him she doesn't listen to Duran Duran, cemented her rock goddess status for me) Leno acts like the dirty uncle sometimes and some bits from the jaywalking and headlines are funny, other then that snoozefest city. Letterman made me feel like an old fart. Ferguson never registered a blip on the radar for me, Kimmel neither, although I've caught a few bits of his show on guests I searched on.
