no even funnier, we blew out the Knicks last year and Don Chaney was fired after the loss to Houston!!

Two years in a row, we ran the Knicks coach out of office!!

I can't believe Padgett broke an 80 year old man's heart.

I think the last time that happenning involved Anna Nicole Smith.

    :p

No, we destroyed them right after the Marbury trade. His first game in NY.

What's wrong with us beating the Knicks? Is this not suppose to happen? We are a good team aren't we?

This almost sounds like a putdown to us.

Sad to see Lenny or any coach go out like that. The Knicks are a fundamentally flawed team... can't really blame the coach. I hope they decide to rebuild from scratch (once those max contracts expire).

Its not just because of the game vs. us. The previous 5 or so games they had leads and lost by a late game collapsed. This was just the last straw Lenny could take from the team... :)

Its considered Breaking News on ESPN's website... :p

btw, anybody thought that Thomas may pull the trigger and make Ewing head coach? He has been an assistant for 2 and 1/2 years and if not during the season, then maybe during the offseason.

Dont see it happening, but its something NY would want to see but it has failed once with Magic coaching the Lakers in the 90's which was dismal, but not as bad as his "Magic Hour" talk show... :D

I doubt it. Why would he take that risk... the Knicks would probably continue to struggle under him. I think Herb Williams is gonna be interm coach for the rest of the season. There aren't many experienced coaches available... besides Phil Jackson and he obviously ain't gonna come to the Knicks.

being a new yorker i do feel a tinge of remorse for Wilkens leaving. lets give him some respect, he didn't get "run" out by the rockets, just that the knicks can't handle clinch situations.

Yeah Zeke is a great coach we saw all those playoff series he won in Indiana. It was pretty good that Carlisle won more in one postseason than Zeke did his whole career.I am somewhat shocked he didn't pull Pop and promote himself. For those that don't remember Pop fired Bob Hill the day the little sailor boy came off the injured list and he reinjured himself soon as he came back.Karma is something else you know.
