JB Bickerstaff > Stephen Silas? or he just lucky, after went through a long drought, Cavs has got better players (vets and young prospects)
If this rockets team was under the baton of JB, would have looked better?

Crazy theory: coach doesn't matter nearly as much as fans think it does, as long as you have a good rotation.

Bickerstaff is trash, but he’s better than Silas.

The Rockets version of JBB wouldn't have gotten the extension, I think. During that disastrous 15-16 season he was not a great coach, but I think he's clearly improved since then.

I'm happy for him, he paid his dues and got what he deserved--but I'm not envious of the Cavs because the coach they got was an entirely different coach than the one we had for those 70-something games.

Coaches matter, JB was doing OJT for years people dont understand that. Just like players get better coaches get better. it takes years in some cases though. He was trash when he was here. If you dont think what JB did with the Cavs is genius you dont watch them play. Silas would never start Mobley at the 3. Silas would never have ja, laury and mobley starting and if he did he wouldnt know how to use them. He has the best passing big man in the draft and has no idea how to use him.

Coaches matter. Bickerstaff had prime Harden and looked like a bad coach.

A bad coach in the NBA is better than any of us would be (unless one of us is RudyT?)
A bad coach can get a solid roster to win games
Let's wait for the playoffs and see how JB does...

(Of course there is always the coach who isn't too stubborn to change, and perhaps that is JB and he has grown? Let's wait and see...)

    If you
If you look at the cavaliers team they have no superstars. The rockets had Harden. If your superstar don't run the system the way it's suppose too. Then it's not going to look the way it's suppose too look. It's all about the players committing to make it work.

At the end of the day I don't care so much about wins or losses or trades, what worries me the most going forward is that we have a fantastic weapon with a point Center and I think sengun is just freestyling without any coaching. I really wish we could get a rick Adelman type coach this team would really take off if they did. if we had a prime Luis Scola right now I don't think he would be half as good with Silas as coach

JB would have been offered a job a lot sooner if he would stop arguing with his employees.

    hmmm pretty accurate definition....

btw give silas their rotation and hed make them 'lacking' in talent and tanking again in no time...how ironic that you used the term rotation instead of roster because making the right rotation is something that silas is clueless about...

yeah, maybe silas will also change
how smart to entrust your franchise and all the young talent to a clueless inexperienced coach and see if he can make it work in cuople of decades

but you see the best thing is if we are bad for 3 decades imagine how many top picks and allstar talent we will draft?
wow...i am looking forward to that time in a few decades when nobody could beat us with all that talent that silas has earned us by losing like a champ...

i mean you can always ALWAYS learn and grow as a person.

but it does take humility, a trait far few people have.
