when i was in high school, they said something similar happened with the Oilers' Jeff Alm when his friend flew through the windshield and he commited suicide. Anyone else hear that urban legend?

I heard it, that is what I thought of when I saw this story.

Also, they will have to refer to the penal code for this case.

Sounds like an unusual case: the victim was serving her a sub-pena before and during the accident.

Though the judge has promised a rigid trial with firm guidelines the defendant has vowed never under any circumstances to lose her head.

Have the defense call me if they need anybody to help re-enact the events leading up to the accident...

I'm not MadMax, but I'd attack this defense since it does not sound logical:

If what she said is true, and he was thrown from the car, I'd think that either she would have gagged to death from the impact or not all of him would have gotten thrown out of the car.

What was the cause of death?

Was an autopsy performed and were some parts missing?

    Important questions.

That was not a urban legend. My dad was seeing one of the nurses that worked in ER at the time that they brought his body in but were told to keep it quiet. After he got out of his car and noticed that his dik was partially gone and his fried went over the freeway he pulled a shotgun out of his car and put it in his mouth and pulled the trigger.

    SJC,

Great points. So you're saying you would not recommend prosecutors say to the court: "well, his pants could have been down because he wasn't feeling well!" :D

That is just one of the scariest things I've ever read. It will give me nightmares.

(of course, I doubt anyone on this bbs will ever drive while in a compromising position again, or assist anyone in doing so... that is, if anyone was doing that to begin with.)

In most situations, they do. Even if the person is pretty much gone, they don't officially pronounce them dead until they get to the hospital. Sometimes they're still trying various resuscitation attempts. Of course, if he blew his head off or something, that might be different...

Hey hey...don't blow it...I think most men on the BBS would still do it.

Maybe someone should start a poll and ask how many have been in that situation already :D.

You just have to make sure you don't lose your head!

Sorry, but this story does not sound likely to me at all. If that story was true, she would never have gotten indicted.

This is a hard question. On one hand, there should be stiff penalties for driving this way. Maybe even a long sentence - doing some hard time.

On the other hand, this should all blow over. All men are entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happenis.
