The latest I have heard... - He had surgery to repair the two broken bones in his leg and had a metal rod inserted. - The operation went well, but his playing days are likely over. - Mark Turgeon, Donald Sloan and the head athletic trainer all stayed in Seattle with D-Ro. His aunt should be there tonight or tomorrow. This was the worst thing I have seen in sports in a long time. The doctors likened the injury to Joe Theisman's injury. I have read that you can send an e-mail to D-Ro. patients@u.washington.edu Be sure to put "Derrick Roland" in the subject line of the email. I sent one. It must be depressing to have this happen so far from home and right at Christmas.
I waited all day to see this video after I heard about it and now I wish I hadn't I know u don't see much except the leg bending the wrong way but just the reaction from Sloan was disturbing enough.
I havent seen the vid(s) or pic(s) yet(and probably dont want to) but was it worse than Shaun Livingston's leg injury?
i think shaun livingstons looked worse......on dericks you cant see when it happens only after he already broke it.....you can hear the bone snap if you listen closely...
go ahead and watch...is not that bad actaully...some ot his teammates start crying like hes dead or something...
the dude just had a tragic injury and you're cracking jokes about it. And you're actually an aggie. What a shame. I guess drinking booze is a habit of yours just like your hero BCG, and it has destroyed enough of your brain cells to make you spew stupid crap like that.
Sloan's reaction got to me partly because thats like his brother and seeing his leg going in 3 different directions must have been kind of shocking. Your right that it is not that bad to watch, you really don't see anything just the few moments he is laying on the ground.
If true, it would be further evidence of what we already know. BCG is a good basketball coach and a crappy human being. Good to know that you idolize that.
