I like how Faos left out the part about who the ring leader is. Tom Hayden was one of the guys responsible for starting the 68' Chicago riots at the Democratic Convention that year.

Not just me, it's the people who define these things who apparently can't get it straight. Note the link I provided.

I didn't think to email you to set me (and them.. and the poster later on) straight.

What a great place to get news. Click onto the web page where Faos gets his "news" and look at the links on the right side of the page.

    "Google bans Christian ad"

"EU to build wall after blasting Israel's"

"Guilty verdict for 'homosexual Christ' actor"

    "ACLU misleads".....

    etc etc

You can also read about whatever disruptions the "lunatic leftist fringe groups" are planning in the New York Times as well. I think, there, on yesterday's front page, the article explored more of the idea that FBI agents are investigating all potential disrupters of the convention, and in the process, are harassing otherwise peaceful protesters, possibly intimidating them into not showing up.

So I guess one person's lunatic leftist is, to another, exercising his or her Constitutionally-protected right to free speech.

Do you mean me? If so, I would love for someone to "set me (and you, too, of course) straight." It would be so...educational.

Peaceful protest, nonviolent resistence and free speech are three of the most powerful tools in democratic society. I'm proud that so many hundreds of thousands of Americans are expressing their dissatisfaction with their representives. That's America.

Republicans (and Democrats) are evidently mortified by these American freedoms or they wouldn't have erected draconian "free speech zones" and used the vague threat of terrorism as a grossly dishonest excuse.

How healthy can a democracy be when its government refuses to hear anyone who disagrees?

Our representatives -- who are there to serve us -- know how powerful and far-reaching peaceful protest is, and they know it can literally change history. And it has. And it will again.

This just goes to show that the extreemists on both sides are NUT JOBS cut from the same cloth just on different sides of the issues.

P.S. Did I miss Trader_Jorge getting banned? This seems like his type of thread where he would come in and bash some people.

No, T_J is scrambling at work. With the stock market dipping he is obviously too busy to raise hell in here.

Actually, I think he's on vacation.

Actually, he was a member of the Louisiana House and a failed candidate for Senator and Governor.

For all of you on the right, see how easy it is to correct mistakes? You should try it sometime.
