I like Aaron Brooks a lot. I like his shooting abilities, his energy, and even his passing abilities (which I realize still have a ways to go). However, I have always thought Lowry fit the team better than him. And that the rox are paying Lowry what they are, I fully expect to see him given the opporunity to start this season. Moreover, if Yao is healthy, I expect to see AB packaged for a star at another position. With guys like Martin, Scola, and a healthy Yao, they really need a pass-first pg and I think Lowry is the guy to fill those shoes.
welcome to Clutchfans. where conspiracies are always assumed just so someone can say "I told you so" if it happens...
Then Jopatmc should be suspended. How could clutchfans lose DD? Any single thread w/o DD's invovlement is just tasteless.
Hardly....lol. I am just as expendable as everyone else, some, nay a lot, would argue MORE expendable.......and others would say expandable....both have their points. DD
do u know how important is to have a good backup Point Guard? u want to replace Lowry with a spot shooter who can PLAY DEFENSIVELY as a PG??? It is just joking in my opinion....................
agreed, only reason I clicked on this thread was because it had made it to 5 pages already. this idea is ridiculous, lee is just insurance if martin gets hurts. Hell, you could make some ridiculous argument how lee makes brooks or martin expendable as well.
Courtney Lee, at least at this point, makes absolutely no member of the Rockets' current expected rotation expendable. Lee is a young SG who the Rockets have liked for 2-3 years and who fills a couple of needs for this team (quality backup SG; defense against larger PGs). The philosophy for Morey and the Rockets has always been to upgrade wherever possible and let the coach sort out the minutes. For instance, Patrick Patterson was (happily) selected by the Rockets at #14 because they simply felt that he was the best player available. The Rockets still re-signed Scola to a very lucrative new deal. The team also still has Chuck Hayes, Jordan Hill and Jared Jeffries and also had David Andersen at the time. Still, they selected Patterson. And that selection did not make Scola or Hayes expendable. (Hill, on the other hand, might be at this point; but he was a fringe rotation guy at best, IMHO.) Let this team hit training camp and give Adelman some time to decide on a rotation before people start speculating about who's expendable.
Eh... it all depends on who a trade would bring back, no matter what case you're talking about. This team doesn't have any untouchables right now.
