Including 2.5 mil for the Boys and Girls club where the announcement is made, which explains why it's so close to ESPN headquarters (ESPN is giving up the money too).

But who cares about that. Lebron is an attention w**** and we all hate him, right?

This will sound like haterade but I think one of the reasons he did this is to lessen the blow of leaving Cleveland.

    Still it's a nice gesture.

    Great guy...and great move.

For those that will hate on the event, tell that to the Boys and Girls who will benefit from the funds.

Charity is always good, but you've got to imagine the money ESPN is pulling in on this "special"...They aren't really donating, just spending money they would be making. No out of pocket expense there.

Like I said charity is good. I just figured if ESPN was being really charitable it would use all money made by the show plus some to put towards the charity.

is that all its pulling in and 100% went to charity?

and was that a deal in place from the beginning or was it spun around once he got all that negative feedback?
