Nice pad, but honestly, it seems kinda small for a $9M place. Based both on the pictures and the description. Still dwarfs anything I ever plan to live in, but just sayin.
Totally agree. It's the reason that so much money goes to waste for people who make more than a certain rough threshold of income. Beyond a certain point, having more money and buying fancier stuff does nothing to make you happier. That's not just a hippie in me talking, it's simple psychology. Buying a 17-bedroom house will make you feel like a pimp for the first few days after you buy it, and maybe every once in a while after that, but on the whole, you'll be just as happy with it as you would have been with a more quaint place.
Yep, after you get used to the house, it really doesn't matter if it's 1M or 9M, you just use the same favorite spots over and over and the rest of the house is pretty much wasted. But then of course, the house is not just for LeBron but also for all his party buddies.
12,000 square feet ain't so small. And even at $9m that's only $750/sq ft. He'd be paying more for primo space in NY, with nowhere to dock his two yachts...
for the people saying its "kind of ugly" and "not that nice," give me a break. sure its a bit gaudy with the blue lighting but overall its a very sleek looking miami house with out of this world views. real estate in miami is outrageously expensive when its on the water and this is about as close as you can get. 12,000 sq ft is pretty big and when you consider the location it is not ridiculous at all. i doubt he will get his money's worth in usage but its a pretty damn beautiful building. his gf on the other hand? buzz's girlfriend....WOOF
he wants to be a billionaire so i doubt he is like other athletes who don't know how to take care of their money. PS - wade just bought a new $10 mil mansion himself in miami. so $12 mil mansion for bosh, $10 mil for wade, and $9 mil for james.
personally i prefer something more contemporary, but the view is great....I am suprised it's so crowded though, not much privacy there. Right next to the street too.
what there not to understand? most larger homes have more bathrooms than bedrooms. Each bedroom usually has its own bathroom and on top of that you need a bathroom next to the entrance, kitchen, theater, library, etc ...
Tiger Woods' new property he's building is worth almost twice as much as all 3 of those combined (around $55 million).
All that marble makes for one cold and uncomfortable home. And yeah it looks like some tacky Miami Scarface type home.
