You know, when Laker fans and media were saying Lebron was going to the Lakers I thought...heck no, he's not STUPID enough to go to the West on a team like that and risk his legacy... I was wrong.
So you'd call Michael Jordan, the teammate-beating, gambling-addicted egomaniac (who got his father killed with his addiction) a better poster boy than a man who builds schools for the poor? I know you did not involve Jordan in your post but this entire thread is essentially MJ v Bron. You cannot possibly think this man is a bad role-model.
Space Jam 2 is gonna be the best movie of all time knowing that LeBron traded an entire season (or maybe even the last phase of his career) to make that garbage. On topic: The Cleveland championship cemented Lebron's legacy as number 2 and I don't think anything that happens from here onwards can change that. What this does do though is show us that he's never surpassing Jordan.
LOL, should have stayed out east where you can sleepwalk into the playoffs and then play hard. He played hard to start the season, then activated LeCoast mode.
Lebum thought it was soooooo easy in the West. I'm glad hes getting denied the chance to even get into the playoffs by the clippers nevertheless
Jordan at age 35 is still MVP+FMVP+scoring champion+first team all nba+first all defensive team, carried an old team(Rodman 37, Pippen 32) to 62 wins when his second best player missed half of the season due to injury. Lebron can't make playoff at age 34 with a talented young team.
Nothing really changes about his legacy . What happens next year is what define his laker legacy. The attempted forcing of the Davis thread did him in. See what free agents go to LA next year
The people here are all extremely biased I mean when a poster says Lebron is a nobody clearly thats a hater who has lost all sense of objectivity.
I'll take Lebron off the Court over MJ all day but on the basketball court its not even a discussion. Lebron would be toasted even Dream said so
One is a fake, tries too hard to be a “ role-model”. Other one didn’t really care, mostly cared about himself, his legacy or brand but not to be a role model. So you take your pick. I personally wouldn’t look at their public image and just see what they did for the sport and how they played.
Yeah, the Bulls in that 1998 season were really banged up. Pippen played only 44 games and could barely walk in Game 6 of the Finals when MJ single-handedly willed the team to the title in that final minute. Jordan played all 82 games and averaged just under 39 minutes a night. He earned his 5th MVP award that season and definitely deserved it.
