What money? If we match parsons then we don't have any money left to spend. If we don't match parsons, we allow him to walk to a division rival and hope to sign who? Deng for 12 million /Ariza? It's not like we have a lot of options left hence people on here being sad. It's because we went from contender to possibly not even making the playoffs. Morey went all in to chase an uncatchable rabbit and now we're screwed. We lost Lin (say what you want about him but he was a great back up pg off the bench) and a first rounder for nothing. We lost a 7 foot back up to Dwight Howard who any REAL coach would've properly utilized the twin towers. We might be losing Troy Daniels who shown to be a valuable asset late in the season. You play with fire and you're gonna get burned eventually Morey. So are we still a great team? Maybe. But definitely not better than we were last season and definitely not a contender for the 14-15 season. Howard won't be pleased with these moves and most likely will opt out if this upcoming season is a dud.
1. The Rockets have approximately 15 million dollars they can spend prior to having to match Chandler Parsons contract. After that, they can match Parsons contract and depending on what they have spent prior to that they would still have: 1. The JLin Trade Exception worth 8.5 million 2. The Omer Asik Trade Exception worth up to 8.5 million 3. The full non-taxpayer MLE worth about 5.3 million dollars 4. The Bi-Annual exception worth about 2.8 million dollars

Not even make the playoffs? C'mon bro be real we were the 4th seed last year. Asik didn't even play half the season and we were still gelling. We will definitely make the playoffs next year.
