Hi bruthas. I'm not much of a sneaker head, but i've been getting into the craze lately. Can you people point me to some good sites to buy from? I'm def looking for DWade Converse and also some converse superstar evos i believe they were called? Carlos Arroyo sported them when he was with the heat, they were black patent leather with red and white outlines, lowtop. Hollar back plz!
The Dwade converse i'm looking for are the ones he had during his first championship, the reg version or the playoff version with the white toe.
Ebay is a good starting point. Hit or miss on those kind of shoes though. If not there than Google search has always been my main tool to scour for kicks or other items not normally sold in stores anymore.
Starbury shoes are very affordable, but i only see two options on the his website and they're not even basketball shoes.
and check this out Hardwood Classics: Hakeem the Dream DVD http://starbury.com/Hakeem-Olajuwon-Hakeem-the-Dream-NBA/A/B0007WFXZ8.htm
Technically the premium Bron X will have the Nike+ chip that could theoretically help you train by measuring various amounts of force you exert on your feet during play; this could help a trainer craft a program to maximize your efficiency. It could also be a very useful tool for those coming back from a major injury; such force tracking could very well alert athletic trainers that the player is overcompensating on one leg, for example, or still lacks explosiveness when jumping off of one leg. These would be demonstrable benefits that would certainly be of more use than metal/patent leather accents, which is what Nike usually does on it's collectors' editions shoes. Then again, Nike has always followed a model of overpromising and underdelivering when it comes to tech not related to comfort and function. People laugh now, but if the very high price is actually a deterrent that prevents wide ownership, that will only increase the price on the secondary market. People will easily pay huge prices for good condition kicks after they "go out of print." It's a little like buying vintage cars; objectively it's insane to pay $250,000 for a 35 year old car, until it sells for $350,000 a year later.
IDK, maybe that explains why they dont have anymore bball shoes on their website....They just have the 2 options of casual and running shoes.
Best looking Lebron's ever. I have 3 pairs. I bought them for 75 bucks a pair a few years back. I think they go for close to 300 now.
Greed set them up and stupidity did them in... http://www.click2houston.com/news/H...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
