    1. I bet this is Nike not LBJ. They are hoping to cash on on LBJ's fantastic year by getting his fanboys to part with an outrageous amount of money.

    2. HELL NO I wouldn't buy them. I would rather save the $300

The lines will be long for those shoes when they come out -- babies will be getting ammonia and hoodrats will be making money.

Some shoes are worth the money. I'll be all up on the black and red 11's once they're re-released late this year.

But these shoes are fug. I draw the line at 200 anyway.

I don't know why shoe price is an interesting topic. How about the Michael Beasley estate sale? That was weird, eh?

Buying overpriced things you don't need on credit that you have a hard time paying back & having no money in savings for emergencies because you spent all your money on needless things has an equally negative effect on personal finance.

Of course if you had put money in savings, you could weather out a recession more easily because you have the money for emergencies.

Doesn't this guy know we're in a recession.

Skip Bayless is going to have a field day with this.

    How do you know that?

Anyway, I never really got the appeal of buying basketball shoes for anything other than playing basketball in them, but to each their own.

The $300 model is basically the fully upgraded, limited edition model with some fairly expensive computer technology that dramatically raises the price. If you look at this article, http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8288491/nike-sell-newest-lebron-james-sneaker-300, the analyst they interviewed suggested that this premium model might only make up 20-25% of the total number of 'Brons produced, and the normal shoe without Nike+ would be in the $175 range, just as it always has been for Nike's top of the line shoe.

In a world where people will stand in line all night to get $150 collector editions of Halo/CoD, will pay thousands of dollars for concert/game tickets on StubHub, get cars fully-loaded with features they don't really need just to have leather seats, I have no problem with the shoe existing. Good on those who end up getting it; won't be me, but I've spend more money on stupider things...

I have no problem paying for these shoes. I think they are totally worth it.

    When do they come out?

Not sure if sarcastic but unless they make you good enough to get a pro-contract I don't see how they are worth that much money.
