So Lebron + Joe Johnson to NY, while Bosh joins Wade in Miami.

New York doesn't have enough to offer in a S&T for one of them, much less two. I know it doesn't take much in a S&T when a team has cap room, but they have almost literally nothing. And I don't think Lebron and JJ would sign outright and leave that money on the table.

Donnie Walsh to Cavs GM: "We want to make sure you don't end up with nothing. So here, have our 2011 first round pick. Only thing is, you'll have to switch with Houston if they are better than us."

Walsh to Hawks GM: "So we've gutted our draft picks and have no real talent to offer you, so how about Wilson Chandler?"

Lebron, Wade and Bosh will have a meeting. Joe Johnson will try to join but the other 3 will laugh at thim and tell him to go attend the 2nd tier FA meeting with Boozer and Gay.

if they go S&T, I think this meeting is a waste of time and should not be happening.

They are looking for something fancier and stupid, such as Lebron and Bosh join the Knicks.

Why don't those 6 guys get together and create their own team? They can call themselves The Human Narcisissists. Their hometown? Earth.

I just hope no one goes to New York, so we can have a huge youth movement in Houston to go with our Vets...

Sadly it's looking more and more likely that at least two of those 4 guys will. :(

I don't know why this is going to be a thread. Bosh is probably telling Wade and friends that he is about to make millions from the Chinese endorsements because of Yao. ;)

    What I think could happen:

Bosh comes down to Houston. Amare goes to Miami with Wade. Dirk pairs back up with Nash in Phoenix. LeBron still goes to Chicago. Joe Johnson goes to NY...for the hell of it. Really, I don't know about JJ, or any of these guys. Just throwing out my predictions.

So it'd be LeBron, Wade, Bosh and Joe Johnson in NY. They'll take a paycut from the Knicks, but cut a monster deal with Nike to make up for it.

    Nice.

Like someone said earlier, WTF is this. The Avengers.

Can the legue fine these guys for collusion? They probably shouldn't have this meeting till after July 1st when free agency officially begins. Big fines all around if it happens before 7-1-10...just ake Morey and Cuban.

I doubt it, the season is over. There pretty much free agents at this point and represent only themselves. So they should be able to do what they please.

Wonder if we could make a deal with Chicago, using our $3 million trade exception that we got for dealing Landry....take some of their lesser-paid, slightly-lesser-wanted guys off their hands. Give them more cap room to go after the free-agents that might otherwise go to New York. Maybe get Chicago's 1st rounder (#17) out of it? Send them future considerations.

Of course, Chicago might want to hold onto whatever draft pick they have in case of sign-and-trade possibilities. But if they get LeBron, Cleveland isn't going to oblige them anyway. Bosh might be another story.

In any case, winding up with the #17 in this draft wouldn't be a bad deal. Either pair the #14 with the #17 and move up or pick players with high value at those spots.

I thought the same and then just read this tweet from Marc Stein

"NBA vigilant on tampering comments because it's easy to police. Stopping real tampering, like players recruiting each other, tougher trick"

No idea if that applies to this situation.

I think the nets would be pretty good if they could get two of them to sign there.

    Devin Harris
    Courtney Lee
    Joe Johnson
    Chris Bosh
    Brook Lopez
    [plus 3rd pick overall]

I think one of them (Joe Johnson) would have to compromise to take less than the max but the nets could also move down in the draft and cut some salary.

You know, if they are actually discussing the whole "two superstars to a team" scenario, I just can't see why they would all pick Eastern Conference teams. If their main goal is the Finals, then it would just make sense to keep the most significant competition out of the way until the very end.
