I'm amazed at the number of otherwise rational people who think a black athlete shouldn't say anything when he's getting verbally assaulted by racists.
It is never ok to use racial slurs. NEVER. At the end of the day we are talking about a basketball game. A game. You guys act as if Lebron fire you from your job and your homeless. Loses I will be rooting for Lebron this season , just because of the non-sense that the "haters" continue to prop up. Losers.
I don't like him, but even LeBron doesn't deserve to be called the n-word. This also doesn't change the fact that acknowledging his haters is just childish. People get cursed at and get called nasty names all the time. It appears that LeBron has taken it upon himself to tell everyone how he's getting cursed at and how he's been called nasty names. Sort of undermines the whole "mental notes" spiel...
What is the "rational" purpose of Tweeting this? Today is Hater Day. Everyone please let them get their 2 mins of fame and light! I Love You Haters. Continue to make me proud of u guys! LOL What exactly am I missing? Of course the folks posting the racist stuff are perverted trash. But what is the point of LeBron egging them on?
Middle Fingers to the haters. Wow its just a basketball . How can people get worked up so much about it? LOL @ people feeling sorry for Cleveland and their fans. Lets see those fans show support for the Cavs this or are they just frontrunners? Middle Fingers to ALL the haters.
No one ever said it's ok. It's not. But, one should realize that these things happen on a daily basis. It's almost a certainty he received racial slurs as a Cavalier, albeit fewer, but I'm sure he did receive them. It's just r****ded for him to tweet them now that he pulled the dumbass public stunt of the century, and hide behind racism.
Lebron has a million followers sucking up to him. Of course he's going to have haters. He isn't the first athlete to be called a n**** I mean you look around these forums and is it much worse? People call Kobe a rapist, trash the "white" or "mormon" Jazz, say that Raja Bell fits in with the Jazz except for him being black. And we don't say worse things because this forum is moderated. But believe me, I think alot worse of some players sometimes  There's plenty of hating going around and I suspect practically every player/celebrity gets hate mail/tweets/whatever. Lebron's not the only athlete to be hated on, he's just the most recent to complain about it.
I blame ESPN for thinking I'd care enough about it that they should write a front-page article on the subject. Lebron shouldn't get himself caught up in this needless drama. Just ignore it and play basketball. But, that he does take it personally and is tweeting about it doesn't merit more than a team notes discussion of why he's distracted from his job.
Lebron should kill his twitter account, his handlers have overexposed the guy and made some poor choices. If he is going to have such thin skin, he should just kill the account. One of the things about the web is it allows assholes and bigots a voice too. DD
Agreed, another in a line of bad decisions from him this summer. I guess the purpose was two-fold: (1) expose the ugliness of these people to earn sympathy points (looks to have backfired), (2) internalize it and take out his anger on the competition this season (TBD).
Seems like internalizing it would involve doing just that, internalizing it, instead of trying another publicity stunt.
We know, ryano (or should I say: RyanOutrich!!!). RyanOutrich @KingJames continuation to my last tweet, u r a big nosed big lipped bug eyed ******. ur greedy, u try to hide ur ghettoness.
why are people saying lebron is "complaining" or "being sensitive"? he's just jokingly brushing his shoulders off while patronizingly welcoming the negativity of is haters. pretty sure he's kicking back just laughing at all this just like when people call kobe a rapist to bring hm down. pretty sure kobe doesn't mind and just polishes his rings before he smashes vanessa.
