If Lebron wants to be a billionaire, going to Houston makes so much sense. Imagine all the endorsement deals he will get in China! In Morey We Trust!

Make you wonder why they used the Rockets as the example of a sign and trade when none of the media has uttered a word about Houston being a possible destination for Lebron up to this point?

We all know why Lebron should come to Houston but the media has been clueless about the reasons over the past couple of years or they just don't feel like they can get the type of ratings talking about Houston that they can talking about NY, Chicago, and LA.

If this scenario ever came true the sweetest part of the deal would be that we used Jared Jefferies and NY's draft picks to make the sign and trade happen. I'm guessing that Donnie Walsh would be fired as soon as the trade was completed unless he died of a stroke when he heard the news. ;)

No way, giving up Aaron Brooks would be just too much.

Maybe give them Ariza and Battier, with Battier being a buyout. Then, do the Rudy Fernandez trade.

    Lowry/Llull?
    Martin/Fernandez
    LeBron/Budinger/Battier
    Scola/Hill
    Yao/Hayes/Anderson

Maybe? Seems like a longshot, but looks good to me.

It's really up to Lebron first. If he say he wants to go to Houston, there is nothing Cavs can do. First of all, i don't see him going to NY because that team is starting from scratch. And staying at Cleveland will see him going no where because let's face it, Cleveland sucks!! They don't have the support casts Lebron need and it's been proven time and time again. So why waste your career staying?? That's the BIG QUESTION!

This would be incredibly hilarious if JEFFRIES was one of the expiring contract used for this.

im starting to feel funny, yet anxious. maybe just a coincidence, but during the draft show there was an espn ad with cameron diaz and tom cruise doing top 10 plays. the commercial ended with diaz saying "...and we make are first stop in houston."

the stu scott says theres dark horse teams you wouldnt expect like houston and portland. then that trade scenario. all i needed to go into full toycen428 mode was for van gundy to try to lure lebron to houston by shouting out to matt schaub on tv

I think I'm going to post that pic on my facebook and act like it was a real trade rumor just to get this rumor train rolling over the net.

They basically had a capologist and I think he might have been a former gm or consultant for the Cavs. Anyways he made that mock proposal. All they were saying is that if the Cavs Don"t do a sign and trade for Lebron then their is no way they can replace him. Or his 17 million dollar salary. At best they could clear maybe 9 million of cap space. But they cant replace lebron with 9mil in Cap Space>

So their only options if he wants to leave and they don't want to get screwed. Would be a sign and trade. In that case they would be looking too get big expiring contracts so they could get under the cap and sign or trade for a big player in the future. And get young talented players to rebuild and with. We have Draft picks And we have AB and up and coming guard who's stock is high.

Basically that trade would be more than generous if Lebron wanted to leave.
And the Rockets are contenders not to mention the benefits of playing in Houston.

Not saing its going to happen but it's very sensible.

If lebron wants to leave a trade like that is very likely wehter it be with us or antoher contender that has big expiring and young talent to give. If Lebron wants to leave the cavs will be screwed if they don't get a sign and trade done. And at least ry to get some young talents and expirings to get under the cap. Or expiring contracts not only are nice sized but the players attached are good quality.

We're getting someone big in a sign and trade because we got pieces and there are too many desperate teams with premium talent. We will add another superstar talent to this team without losing much of our core.

I believe this will be Battier last year because his value for us as a trade piece is the highest. Yes we lose some leadership but we have a very talented mature team.
