ESPN about Houston and Lebron I was just watching ESPN and they were talking about sign and trades for Lebron James. They were talking about how its hard to match talent for talent with lebron james but if someone wanted to make a deal it would be for expiring contracts and young talent (Cavaliers would have the opportunity to rebuild). They only brought up one scenerio and it was for houston... Battier-expiring Jared Jeffries-expiring Aron Brooks-MIP 1st rounder (Houston) 1st rounders (NY) It seemed a little strange, one of the dudes (don't know his name) stressed a little to much about how this was all random speculation, but he stressed it to much as if they knew something... don't know, just thought i would share. Lebron doesn't seem happy in Cleveland, considering his playoff performance. Do we need a bring Lebron to houston thread???
lol before people start hating on me for starting this thread, its not what I said, just what they were saying on the NBA Draft special on ESPN. So all the people b****ing saying "lock thread" and "Whats next... a I want Wade, Bosh, Howard thread" can either not click on the thread, not post on the thread or just turn off their computer and not read the thread
All kidding aside, signing with Houston would make a ton of sense for Lebron, but I just don't think Houston would appeal to him. They keep talking about how Lebron wants to be a billionaire star. Well sign with Houston and he'll be even bigger than he is now in China. And more importantly he would have a great shot at a ring assuming Yao comes back strong from this foot injury, which is no given. In fact, he would probably make more money by just signing a max deal as a free agent (get it done somehow) rather than sign and trade because then the Rockets could keep all the valuables that would go to Cleveland, thus increasing the chance of winning a championship. Winning a ring would increase his endorsement stock even moreso and this would make up for the few millions in pay cut he'd take to straight up sign here. Then factor in the lack of a state income tax of course too. Too bad this is highly unlikely.
Well since New York has Jay Z recruiting Lebron, maybe we can get his wife Beyonce to recruit for Houston (being she's from Houston and all )
Aren't JZ and Beyonce married? Might be some problems at home if that happened. Besides, we have Chuck Norris. Think he lives in Navasota.
