You said it, and I said it, big superstars in general do not come from FA signings. They come via the draft or trades. Case closed.

Well when lebron comes here it will be a sign and trade, not a free agent signing. Case opened.

Get the city to offer to turn the Astrodome into Lebron's personal palace in order to entice him to the Rockets.

That would solve the problem with what to do with the dome and Lebron could probably fit his entire crew in there.

This may be the Best and Worst Basketball idea that I've ever suggested. ;)

i dont understand this presentation crap...what are they presenting besides a piece of paper with numbers on it? that's all he needs to know, how much are you giving him? There's nothing to sell here. He knows the teams and what they are all about.

    LeBron

    for

    Aaron Brooks
    Jared Jeffries (EC)
    Shane Battier (EC)
    Jordan Hill or Patrick Patterson
    2011 Rockets 1st
    2011 Knicks 1st/Lotto Swap
    2012 Knicks Lotto
    Cash

I really don't see anyone offering a better package.

It's called culture. Each city, each team, each organization has a specific personality to them. Players are people too, they're not just robots who play basketball every minute of the day. LeBron's gonna be living there for the next 4 years or so ya know.

What we're not factoring in is how LeBron would look in our hideous uniforms. Much more important than silly things like "cap space" or "talent".

Last time i checked Lebron had been in the league for a few years. He's played in each city more than once or twice, some a lot more. He's been around enough to know what's going on in each city, or what they're "culture" is. It's not like he's going to Odessa, TX....these are major cities that most have a feel for just on reputation alone, there's nothing to sell. It's not like he's staying over for a week to check the town out. You're talking one or teo day meetings, it's all BS that he's using as leverage to make other cities think he's considering others. After the draft he's got to have narrowed it down to 2 or 3 cities tops, but i wouldnt be surpised if he already made up his mind.

Yeah, but if LeBron comes here, the NBA will release 20 different hardwood classic jerseys that the Rockets can wear throughout the season.

For Lebron to come here, the rockets will have to keep their core guys. Cleveland is going to loose out anyway. Do you honestly think Lebron would come here if they gave up brooks? This guy is all about winning championships.

Brooks is our third best player. Would be 4th if LeBron came here. Not a dealbreaker.

How is brooks third? Open your front door and let the smoke out. Brooks is the best right now. And don't say Kevin Martin, the guy that disappears in crunch time.

one part of the presentation might be the "independent" third party endorsement deals he would be offered should he sign in a particular city

So much for CF not drinking the LeChoke kool-aid. Shouldn't we be above this?
